Welcome to Napoli! We ask that you arrive around 3:00pm. After checking in and &nbsp;settling in, &nbsp;we will meet in the lobby of our hotel around 5:00 pm and head out for a brief walking tour of historic center followed by a Meet &amp; Greet and traditional aperitivo. We will meet up for a Welcome Dinner later in the evening.

Day 1

Today we dig in to the neighborhoods in Naples learning about the the city and it's centures of inhabitants, traditions, myths and legends -Spaccanapoli, Quartieri Spagnoli on the bottom and then taking the funicular up to the breezy Vomero.Exploring and tasting delicious Neapolitan street foods along the way. We will have pizza for lunch at a very typical pizzeria.You have the rest of teh afternoon and evening on your own.

Day 2

You have the morning free to wander on your own, checking out the vintage shops, hip boutique, artisan workshops and tucked-away museums within walking distance of our hotel.Our driver will scoop us up in the afternoon to go to a local farm that grows delicious fruits and vegetable in the rich volcanic soil. We will have a honey tasting and tasting local products, followed by a guided tour of Pompeii at sunset.

Day 3

Today we go to the lesser-visited Campi Flegrei. You will learn myths, legends and experience breathtaking views! We viist a local coffee roastery followed by a guided tour of an under the sea adventure of Baia underwater followed by the Baia a few steps up the hill to experience the riuns of lavish villas owen by wealthy romans.&nbsp;We have a wine tasting a lite lunch in an agritourismo that grows the local products on their land.

Day 4

Today we continue our exploration of Naples-but we discover the other side of Naples filled with mysticism. We are spending time in the the neighborhood of Rione Sanita and the Catacombs of San Gennaro.You will have the rest of the day on your own to explore, do some shopping and enjoy an aperitivo, walk along the lungomare and prepare for our journey to Salerno tomorrow for the next 3 days.

Day 5

After checking into our new hotel and settling in, we explore this beautiful seaside town of Salerno, our home for the next 3 nights. We have a walking tour of the historical center, visiting the famed Cathedral, walking the pedestrian only narrow lanes exploring the ceramics of Enzo Bianco, tasting chocolate from one of the oldest chocolate shops in Campania and of course taking a coffee at a local roastery.We will meet up in the evening for dinner together

Day 6

Today we start our day with a guided tour of the massive Greek Temples in Paestum followed by a visit to a farm where they make some of the most delicious products from milk of the buffalo, hello Mozzarella di Bufala, Bufala butter and gelato!You have the rest of the afternoon and evening on your own.

Day 7

Today we experience the Amalfi Coast with a twist! We visit some of our favorite towns first by with our driver and then by ferry! This is the the way to experience the Amalfi coast. We stop in lesser visited towns for very specific reasons. First amalfi to visit the beutiful majolica domed cathedral, then Cetara to visit one of the last known colatura factories followed by time on your own. You could have lunch with a pasta that is typical of Campania but with the taste of Liguria.&nbsp;We will meet up later in the evening for our final dinner together at a Slow Food Trattoria in the centro storico.

Day 8

After breakfast you can take your time checking out. You can enjoy the day here in Salerno or head back to Naples and the rest of your trip or back to the airport.We can help you arrange transportation. Arriverderci, thank you for joining us on this fabulous trip!We miss you already!

We will deliver you to your hotel in Bari and you can have the opportunity to explore this beautiful seaside town.Our first private guided tour of the historical center including the Arco Basso where the ladies make the fresh orecchiette all day, the famous Saint Nicolas Church and the seaside fish market.We will enjoy our first dinner together.We go to the cave town of Matera and have a guided tour of the Sassi and then you will have the afternoon to wander this beautiful and haunting hilltop village

These next 2 days are spent learning to cook the dishes of Salento, Puglia. We will also learn the traditional dance, the Tarantella! We will learn about the history of the dance followed by a dance lesson! Our final day together, we will spend the day outside-learning about the magical Cava Bauxite and the treasures of the land!This is our last day together so we will meet for our final dinner together!After checkout we will bring you to the Bari or Brindisi Airport.We are offering a 2 day After Tour Add On Experience.Join us in Mola di Bari for a 2 days cooking immersion with Rita Guastamacchia!

Cooking Class, Dance the Tarantella and Cava di Bauxite

Day 7-9

In the morning we depart Lecce to spend the next 2 nights at Masseria in Mola di Bari.We will deposit our bags into our rooms and then we waste no time and into the kitchen we go!We will have our first cooking class learning traditional vegetable &amp; fish/seafood forward typical Pugliese dishes,In the afternoon after a brief siesta, will go to the fish market that is just a few miles away and pick out our fish/seafood that for our afternoon class.Dinner will be what we prepared throughout the day.In the morning after breakfast, we will learn to make fresh mozzarella, burrata and ricotta! In the afternoon we go to visit the terracotta potter Antonio Sammarelli. This is where Rita buys her dishes and you will want to buy a dish or two &nbsp;to bring the taste of Puglia home with you.In the afternoon we will have a our final cooking class learning to make the famous Pugliese Ragu and other local specialty dishes.Dinner will be what we have learned to prepare.&nbsp;After dinner, you can begin to pack as we will be departing for the airport/train station after breakfast
