We were incredibly pleased with this trip. Our guides Monica and Marta were outstanding. We were fortunate enough to meet co-owner Nina on our first day. All three of these ladies went above and beyond to make our trip informative, enjoyable and safe. Guide Brigid joined us a few days later and she applied her own special brand of personalized care to all of us, making an effort to connect with each and every person. We couldn't have asked for more wonderful guides! We did experience a few administrative hiccups in the pre-trip communications which were corrected. Our accommodations at Palazzo Carletti were first rate; the breakfasts we enjoyed there were a delicious and filling start to each day's activities. Veronica and her helpers were most accommodating. The drinks cart provided a relaxing way to end each day in the comfort of the beautiful social room. It was clear that the Tinto owners and guides had forged a close working relationship with the principals at each location we visited; we always felt that we were meeting their old friends who wanted to share a particular piece of Italy's charm with us. This led to a feeling of comfort and safety on our part. From walking tours to wine tastings to long, relaxed meals together, we enjoyed ALL the activities which Tinto carefully curated for us. Each one was an authentic view into the life and times of Tuscans. Our favorite day trip was to La Foce with its incredible gardens; learning about its role in the community during the challenging last years of WWII was a real eye opener and drove home the sacredness of this incredible place. A medical emergency with one of our traveling companions received immediate attention from Nina and our guides; each of them had a part in helping four of us alter our last-day itinerary to get directly back to the airport for our scheduled flight home. We could not have done this without them and greatly appreciated the effort each one of them made on our behalf. We would absolutely recommend Tinto and especially this particular itinerary to anyone who wants to experience real life in Tuscany, complete with food, wine, and history. Montepulciano and its surrounding points of interest are not to be missed! Tinto Travels made this an easy and incredibly rewarding experience which we'll remember for a lifetime.

The small group setting was just perfect! Accommodations were fantastic. We enjoyed the food and wine tremendously. Wish we could have had a cooking class however! I also want to give a shout out to our main local guide Marta who accompanied me to the emergency room with my husband. Without her communication would have been nearly impossible. We would use Tinto again if it went to other places, we are interested in seeing…

This trip was absolutely fabulous and exceeded my expectations across the board. Tinto travel personnel were wonderful, and the planning for events, food and wine, excursions, and accommodations were top tier. Thank you for a great adventure in Italy!

Incredible trip from start to finish!! Nina, Monica and Caroline our three tour guides went above and beyond to make this a smooth journey. The lodging, food and vineyards were amazing!!

Everything about this trip was simply terrific -- the pace, the activities, the communications, everything. Monica and Caroline provided very clear communications about meeting times and locations, what we were about to see, the next day's plans, etc. They are absolutely delightful tour guides and have the patience of saints. 👼 They were also incredibly helpful whenever any issues occurred, like people going to the wrong meeting location, missing tour members, and lost wedding rings. 😱 FYI, the wedding ring was found by Luca, our van driver. Speaking of Luca, he was similarly terrific -- always on time, always willing to help, and an excellent driver! This is the first 'pre-arranged' tour that we've done, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Monica and Caroline really made the tour extra special, and I would gladly do another tour with them!
