Your island adventure begins in the city center and capital, Antananarivo. The bustling capital of Madagascar is known as Tana to many travelers. With an open schedule today, relax, settle in, or wander through the city’s diverse architectural history.
Our guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. If you arrive early, contact us at Fosa Travel for information on any attraction you can visit in town.

Day two sets off heading east, where you’ll quickly get up close and personal with the island’s vibrant array of wildlife. Chameleons, lizards, frogs, snakes, butterflies, and Sifaka Lemurs are the few creatures you’ll see first-hand at the Peyrieras Madagascar Exotic Reserve.
With many more lemur species, like Indri and ring-tailed, we will head farther to Andasibe, the world-renowned lemur-watching paradise.
In the afternoon, we will visit Parc Mitsinjo, where you can find chameleons, snakes, birds, and, most importantly, the biggest lemur species, Indri.
When night falls, perhaps your true inner explorer can come alive as we hike through the forest to glimpse night lemurs and other nocturnal friends.

We can’t see it all in just one day, though. Spend hours more wandering through Andasibe National Park on Day 3. Unique, rare, and endangered all describe the species of animals you’ll see here, including 11 different lemur species.
The wildlife adventure continues in the afternoon as we visit Lemurs Island and Crocodile Park. There, you’ll walk among flora and fauna unlike anywhere else on Earth.

After a couple of days in nature, Day 4 combines travel and tour. We will depart Andasibe early in the morning, heading inland for 7.5 hours through beautiful highlands and valleys to the colorful and classic city of Antsirabe. The French called it ‘The City of water’ for its thermal springs.
Once there, Madagascar’s iconic rickshaws will wheel you around to all the top sites.

Famous for its river delta, and but even more for Baobab trees, our excursion next heads to Morondava on the west coast of Madagascar.
We’ll leave early in the morning for the 10-hour drive. Midway, we’ll stop for lunch at Miandrivazo, which is considered the hottest place in Madagascar.

Down the river delta of Morondava on the morning of Day 6, we’ll sail through the mangroves and visit the fisherman village.
With a free afternoon, you can long along and relax on the beach, enjoy the facilities in the hotel or walk around the city before we travel to Bekopaka on the next day.

We will continue our trip to Bekopaka, a small village located next to the Bemaraha National Park. During the trip, we will cross 2 rivers by little ferry, the Tsiribihina River and the Manambolo River.

The visit of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park start here. We will take a boat to visit the Gorge of Manambolo, a river with wonderful landscape. After that we will start our journey to visit the small tsingy.

A full day visit of the Big Tsingy. Around 1 hour drive from the hotel, we will start our trekking at the Big Tsingy. There are a few circuits to visit, depends on your fitness level, the trekking can last for 5 hours.

We will leave Bekopaka in the morning. Before going back to Morondava, we will stop at Kirindy Forest and take a night walk to find the night lemurs and other nocturnal species. We will stay overnight at a hotel near Kirindy Forest.

In the morning, we will visit Kirindy Forest again, we’ll see Fosa, Lemurs, and dozens of other animal species.
The afternoon is free to discover the scenic tree lines of Baobab Avenue and soak in the sunset on the coastal horizon.

After a restful night’s sleep at one of Morondava’s cozy hotels, our tour will return to Antsirabe on the 12th day, approximately a 10 hour trip. Along the way, view the landscape from seaside to highland looking out the window of the air-conditioned bus.
Upon arrival, the evening of day twelve is about rest, so settle in to your comfy hotel in Antsirabe.

The final leg of our journey sends us back to the city where it all began. After a 3.5-hour drive through beautiful and wavy central highlands, we’ll have the day to tour the famous sites of Antananarivo. Highlights of the tour on Day 12 include the Queen’s Palace, Anosy Lake, as well as the markets and French Colonial buildings of Independence Avenue.
While the island is ripe with natural beauty, an extra special tour connects you to Antananarivo’s architecture and history at the oldest train station in town, Gare Soarano.
