DAN Membership

A Diver's Alert Network (DAN) Membership is essential for divers, especially when traveling outside the United States, because it provides access to emergency medical and evacuation services tailored to diving accidents. Many international destinations lack specialized medical facilities for dive-related injuries, and DAN ensures that divers receive the care they need, including hyperbaric treatment and transportation. Additionally, DAN’s global network offers peace of mind, knowing expert assistance is just a call away, no matter how remote the location.  

Dive Buddy Scuba's Travel Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our customers whenever possible. Below is our refund policy for trips based on the time before the scheduled departure:

1. Deposits

• Deposits are non-refundable. A deposit is required to secure your spot and cover initial booking expenses.

2. Cancellation Refund Schedule

Refunds for cancellations are based on the time remaining before the trip departure:

• 120+ days prior to departure: Full refund of payments made beyond the deposit.
• 90–119 days prior to departure: 75% refund of payments made beyond the deposit.
• 60–89 days prior to departure: 50% refund of payments made beyond the deposit.
• 30–59 days prior to departure: 25% refund of payments made beyond the deposit.
• Less than 30 days prior to departure: No refunds.

3. Attempt to Fill Reservation

If you must cancel, our staff will make every effort to fill your spot. If we can fill your reservation:

• You will receive a refund for the payments made, minus the deposit and any non-recoverable fees charged by third parties (e.g., airlines, hotels, or dive operators).

4. Exceptions and Non-Recoverable Costs

• Certain trips may have specific cancellation policies due to agreements with travel vendors. These terms will be outlined at the time of booking.
• Any costs already paid to third parties that are non-refundable will not be included in your refund.

What’s included

• Belmont Hotel Stay
  Rooms are reserved at the Belmont Airport Hotel in Manila for the night of March 13, 2026. Guests must arrive by March 13 to ensure a smooth transfer to the resort first thing on March 14.
• Airport Transfers
  Enjoy hassle-free transfers, you'll be greeted at the Manila Airport or the Belmont hotel in an air-conditioned van. For departures, flights should be after 3pm. Extra days in Manila can be arranged.
• 10 Nights Accommodation
  Relax in comfort and style at the Atlantis Puerto Galera resort, perfectly situated to give you easy access to the best dive sites.
• Meals
  All meals at Atlantis Restaurant, chef-prepared breakfast and three-course lunch & dinner.
• Up to 5 dives a day
  Unlimited scheduled boat diving up to four-day dives and one night dive per day.
• 2 Trips to Verde Island
  Two days of world-class diving at Verde Island, renowned for its vibrant coral gardens, abundant marine life, and breathtaking underwater biodiversity.
• Nitrox
  Nitrox included offers extended bottom times and reduced nitrogen absorption, allowing for longer and safer dives—especially on repetitive dives. - Must have nitrox certification.

What’s not included

• Airfare to Manila
  Due to clients traveling from various locations throughout the US; coupled with early entrants' preference to utilize frequent flyer programs, has led us to exclude airfare from the trip.
• Airfare to Manila
  To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend arriving on the evening of March 13th and utilizing the included overnight accommodations. Most major U.S. airlines offer daily flights to Manila (MNL).
• Diving Equipment
  Dive gear is not included in the package. Guests must bring their own equipment or arrange rentals in advance. We can also arrange rentals at the resort. Dive computers are mandatory for this trip.
• Scuba Staff Gratuities
  Gratuities for the dive staff are not included in the trip package. We encourage guests to tip the dive crew based on their service and experience throughout the trip.
• Travel Insurance
  Dive Travel Insurance protects divers from trip cancellations, & equipment loss, ensuring peace of mind during your dive adventures by covering unexpected costs & travel disruptions.
