With the mountains, rivers, valleys, caves, and ancient lakes of Albania and North Macedonia as the backdrop, this first-of-its-kind program includes e-biking, hiking, and reflecting upon the stories of Surah al-Kahf among some of Europe’s last pockets of traditional culture.

Electric bicycles provide participants with the unique opportunity to cover distances and elevation gains that would prove to be difficult without the pedal power offered by an e-bike! Additionally, our trip support vehicle stores and transports all luggage throughout the program so that participants can focus on soaking up the stunning scenery as we reflect upon Surah al-Kahf.

• Exploring Shebenik, Galicica, Prespa, and Fir of Drenove National Parks in Albania & North Macedonia
• Learning from a local farmer, and participating in a service project to help conserve a healthy and balanced ecosystem. 
• Cooking a fish dinner from fish you catch in the mountains of Shebenik.
• Shadowing Albanian Shepherd Çimi in Kamenicë village
• Learning to make traditional Burek and lamb from Grandma Bahia in Kamenicë village
• Praying at restored 15th-century mosques in Albania and North Macedonia
• Recounting the stories of Surah al-Kahf in outdoors settings via facilitated reflections throughout the program 

You must arrive for this program at Tirana International Airport (TIA) on Saturday, May 17, 2025 before 4 PM local time. Your departing flight may leave any time on Sunday, May 25, 2025 from Tirana International Airport.

Your program includes airport transfers from/to TIA. Flights are not included in this price. We highly recommend carrying on all baggage and selecting routes that ensure ample time to catch connecting flights. Travel insurance is not included with registration, but Fitrah Outdoors suggests every participant to obtain travel insurance.

E-Bike & Hike Shebenik National Park. Local guide tour of Akullit cave, Lake Fushestudes, and other park sites. Cook fish dinner with fish caught in a nearby lake! Overnight in Borove at Hotel Hasa. 

Farm visit and service project planting potatoes in a local garden. E-Bike from Shebenik National Park to Librazhd. Transfer from Librazhd to Lin for stunning sunset view. Overnight at Lin at Guesthouse perched above Lake Ohrid.

E-Bike from Lin to Ohrid town, with border crossing into North Macedonia, visit to Neradje Mosque (Gazi Hüseyin Pasha Mosque) in Struga and visit to Monastery of St. Naum in Ohrid Town. Overnight at lakeview hotel in the historic district of Ohrid.

E-Bike from Ohrid town over the pass in National Park Galicica to Otesevo and Lake Prespa. Optional swim at Lake Prespa. Overnight stay at Lakeview Hotel & Resort in Otesevo.

E-Bike from Oteshevo through Prespa National Park to Korce. 

Islamic history tour of Korce with Professor Nuredin Nazarko.  Jumuah prayer at 15th Century Xhamia (Mosque) e Iljaz Mirahorit. E-bike to Kamenice for apprenticeship with Shepherd Cimci and cooking class with Grandma Bahia. Overnight stay in Korce.

E-Bike to Drenove Village for heritage reflection. Hike to Fir of Drenove National Park. Overnight stay in Korce.
