About your trip

Discover the vibrant blossoms of the Eastern Township gardens and the Old-World charm of Québec City.  Both regions are filled with picturesque villages, local delicacies, breathtaking landscapes, and historical landmarks. We'll spend five summer days and four nights, stepping into the past, in search of Louise Penny's fabled village of Three Pines while we wander through the gardens and cobbled streets of the Eastern Townships and Old Québec.

Day 1 - In search of Three Pines...

• From Portland to the Eastern Townships of Quebec

• In search of the fabled village of Three Pines

• Stretch our legs across the suspension bridge at Parc de la Gorge

• Taste the award winning cheeses at Fromagerie La Station

• Stroll around North Hatley (if time allows)

• Visit the Cherry River Distilery for a Tour/Tasting

• Welcome dinner at our resort hotel - Manoir des Sables

Day 2 - Abbaye, Chants, Books & a Cruise

• Abbaye St-Benoît & option to attend a Gregorian Chant Mass at 11am

• Explore the Village of Knowlton, home of Louise Penny & Brome Lake Books Cafe

• Enjoy a "Bubbly" Happy Hour cruise on Lake Memphremagog

• Explore the town of Magog - Dinner on own

Day 3 - The Floral Route to Quebec City

• Stroll through the aromatic fields at Bleu Lavende

• Visit Parc Marie-Victorin with Lunch & Tour of the giant living plant sculptures (mosaicultures)

• Miellerie King Tour and tastes of Honey spirits and Mead

• Arrive Quebec City - check into our Delta Hotel, just outside the walled city.

• Optional walking tour of Old Québec (a UNESCO world heritage treasure) - upon arrival

• Dinner on your own -

Enjoy some free time

There will be some free to explore the city of Quebec and dine on your own for breakfast and dinner.  Take some time and wander along the cobblestone streets, browse in the quaint shops, sip a coffee at a café, enjoy the work of local artists, or take a carriage ride - the choices are endless! 

Day 4 -Quebec City and the Île d’Orléans

• Driving tour of Quebec City and the Ile d’Orleans  

• Visit a local cider house and sample products made on-site 

• 3 course lunch and wine tasting at La Grande de l’Île 

• Stop at Chocolaterie de l’Île and discover their products

Day 5 - Copper, The Shrine & The Falls

• Visit the Albert Gilles Copper Museum  

• Explore Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré

• Take the Cable Car over Montmorency Falls 

• Enjoy a buffet lunch at Manoir Morency at the top of the Falls

- All US citizens MUST carry a valid U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card to travel to Canada. 

- Without proper documentation YOU will be denied boarding and NO refunds will be given. 

- Travelers convicted of a felony or misdemeanor will not be allowed to cross the border.  It is up to the traveler to verify and/or clear their record before registering

- Activities on this tour require walking on potentially uneven, steps and cobblestoned surfaces

- Outdoor activities will take place rain or shine.

Saturday, July 25

Early breakfast and check-out of Manoir des Sables resort. Two garden visits before heading to Quebec City for the next 2 nights.

Bleu Lavande Farm

Self-guided morning tour exploring the extensive blooming lavender fields. Visit the on-site boutique to experience a range of lavender-based products.

Parc Marie Victorin

Enter the captivating botanical garden offering a unique and immersive experience in nature. Seven distinct gardens, each with its own theme, provide a diverse & enriching experience ~ Lunch included

Passionate beekeepers, the artisans of Miellerie King offer us a tour & tasting of their spirits made directly from the pure honey from their hives.

Arrive Québec City

Old Québec Walking Tour

Option: Step back in time and walk with Nancy through Old Québec, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure known for its cobblestone streets, historic architecture & vibrant culture. Dinner is on your own

Breakfast is NOT included before departing on our 10am- 4pm driving tour. Restaurant recommendations will be provided.

Guided Coach tour 10-4p

Enjoy a panoramic driving tour of Québec City with a local guide then head to the picturesque Île d’Orléans, rich in rural charm and local flavors.

Cidrerie Verger Bilodeau

Meet passionate artisans and sample delicious ciders crafted on-site from island-grown apples.

Lunch LaGrande de l’Île

Enjoy a three-course gormet lunch at LaGrande de l’Île. This thoughtfully prepared meal of seasonal local ingredients will be paired with their wines in an elegant country setting.

Sweet Stop

One more stop at Chocolaterie de l’Île! Indulge in handmade chocolate delights and learn about the artistry behind their gourmet creations. Save room for a soft-serve cone dipped in real chocolate!

Return to Delta Hotel

Return to our hotel in Quebec City by 4pm. The rest of the day and evening is your free time to explore. Dinner on your own. Restaurant recommendations will be available.
