Today it is time to check out right after breakfast and be ready to start the hike from Insilivi towards Chugchilan village. it is going to take at least 4 to 6 hours and the total distance will be 12 miles , it will take longer than a regular hike because the high elevation in most of the walk , it will go between 10,000 to 12,000 ft in some parts , so you can feel a moderate fatigue but nothing that you have to worry much.
During this hike you will see how our local communities live and farm , because the complete hike is trough villages and crops.

The finally we will arrive to Mama Hilda Hostel in Chugchilan town for overnight.
Normally we end this day by 3 pm , so you will have some time to explore the little town on your own.

Dinner will served at 7:00 pm , then briefing for next day.

08-12-2025  

After breakfast, we will drive towards to  Quilotoa Lake which means The Princess Tooth, located at 12,000 ft. above sea level. 

Then a decend to the lake into the crater, it only takes 30 minutes  (2 miles ) with marvelous views , at this point you can rent a kayak or motor boat with an extra cost. 

After this you will hike up to the viewpoint (the starting point) it might take you 1 hour and half to complet it.  Then we will drive to Shalala Lodge for overnight. Here you can also explore the area on your own and maybe see sunset from the balcony.

08-13-2025  

Early in the morning, we will depart from Quilotoa towards Chimborazo volcano (This part of the tour will be run with public transportation, it will take 3 hours to get there approx.)

It is going to be the highest altitude that you will experience on the entire trip and who knows the highest elevation that you have been before (5,000 meters above sea level), this location is very high but it is fine for you to experience the altitude a little bet!!!

At the Park we will arrive up to the first basecamp located at 4,700 mts. from there we will start the hike up to the highest point well known as Whymper refuge. From above you with enjoy the great Andean views, then, drive to the lodge for overnight.

08-14-2025 

After breakfast , we will continue towards to Baños area and visit the well known viewpoint called La Casa del Arbol located above baños (9,000 ft) . At this place you can try the swing end of the world and enjoy breathtaking volcano views or from the Andes. 

Then our guide will let you know tiem to be ready for a 4.5 miles hike , down to Baños City. This is only a down hike so get prepare for amazing paths and views along the way, you might pass by The VIrgen of BAños Statue too. 

At the end you will check in at the hotel for overnight to relax or walk on your own in town.

08-15-2025 

Early in the morning, we will start our tour visiting some Banos City sights like the local market, the main Church , the Melcochas tasting. Then we will continue towards the Famous Waterfalls Avenue ( it is the route to the Jungle with more than 30 waterfalls) 

On this tour we will visit the most beautiful ones as follows: Agoyan ( here you can do zipline with an extra cost ) , Manto de la Novia ( here you can go across Pastaza Canyon by cable car , known as Tarabita ) , Pailón del Diablo ( at this point we will walk down to see the largest waterfall and discover its 6 balconies few feet away the water).

Finally drive back to Baños to enjoy the rest of the afternoon on your own or maybe go visit the hot srpings.

At this Day you can rest or relax on your own before the departure to Quito´s Airport. Our guide will coordinate the time to be ready.

Check out is at 10 am , however if you prefer to keep the rooms until the afternoon , let us know in advance because it has an extra cost.

Finally 4 hours and half approx. to Quito´s Airport for your International flight home.
