About this trip

This isn’t a vacation.
It’s an experience.

I’m Don, also known as The Bearded Backpacker. I grew up in a small town, never imagining I’d one day walk through places most people only see in headlines. Travel didn’t just show me the world. It changed how I see people, culture, and myself.

This Egypt group trip was created for travelers who want more than photo stops and resort buses. It’s for those who want to feel a place. To sit with locals. To understand the rhythm of daily life. To explore history not just through monuments, but through conversations, food, and shared moments.

We’ll move with intention, not rush. You’ll be supported, guided, and challenged in the best way. Whether it’s your first time outside your comfort zone or your next step deeper into the world, this journey is about curiosity, respect, and openness.

If you’re looking for meaning, connection, and a story you’ll carry long after the trip ends you’re exactly where you should be.

Welcome to Egypt.
