Traveling with Don, met all my expectations. The trip was well organized with the local tour guide, Aryan. It helped that Don ensured all my needs were met on this epic journey to Afghanistan. Throughout the trip, I was very comfortable as the choice of restaurants and hotel accommodation was exceptional. Don also had a keen understanding of culture and history which he shared throughout the journey. I would not hesitate to join him and his team on another trip given the diversity of of my fellow travelers who brought their own unique perspectives and were so relatable. I've been traveling solo for 2 years and have never really done a group trip quite like this. This was such an incredible experience. Traveling through Afghanistan with Don was far more comfortable, organized, and enjoyable than I ever could have expected. From the local guides and accommodations to the locations, activities, and overall itinerary, everything felt incredibly well thought out. What I appreciated most was that it never felt like a surface-level tour. I genuinely felt like I was able to experience a side of Afghanistan that I never could have accessed or understood on my own. We spent time with local people, visited places far beyond the typical tourist stops, and had experiences that felt spontaneous and authentic while still knowing the logistics and safety were being handled behind the scenes. Our group was also one of the highlights. We had people of different ages, backgrounds, and personalities, yet somehow everyone clicked and was genuinely fun to travel with. Don clearly knows how to put together the right group of people for a trip like this. Afghanistan is obviously not an ordinary destination, and having Don and our local guide coordinating everything made a huge difference. I was able to focus on actually experiencing the country rather than constantly worrying about logistics. I went into this trip not really knowing what to expect and left feeling like I had experienced a version of Afghanistan I never imagined I would get to see. Easily one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever taken.
