The magic of wild Ecuador is calling us together.
Join Jean Mazzei and Alex Holiday on an epic journey of discovery, adventure, and deep connection - within yourself, with one another, and with the living world around you.
This retreat is an invitation to find your Wild Self and walk alongside Nature, side by side, neither greater than nor less than. Here, we practice equanimity. We remember belonging.
In this powerful place, you’ll feel into your own evolution, your origin story, while sensing how you are both utterly unique and inseparable from the Whole. The interdependence of life is not theoretical here; it’s alive, visible, and embodied.
In the Galapagos Islands, the absence of land predators offers a rare mirror. What happens in the nervous system when fear softens? When vigilance relaxes? Can we touch a deeper peace, one rooted in acceptance, curiosity, and love for Self and Other?
This pristine, ancient land becomes our teacher. What reflections will arise when we slow down enough to listen? There is no better classroom than this UNESCO World Heritage Site to witness the power of diversity, adaptation, and the alchemy of evolving together - untamed, interconnected, and alive.
Our retreat is a full-bodied immersion featuring:
Transformative yoga (all levels welcome)
Meditation and embodied inquiry
Ritual, and spacious integration
Once-in-a-lifetime nature excursions
A true adventure inside and out.
You’ll swim with sea lions and sharks, witness Galapagos penguins and flamingos, and observe marine iguanas and blue-footed boobies dancing across volcanic rock. Each encounter is an invitation to remember what it means to belong to the natural world: not as an observer, but as kin.
Come explore.
Come evolve.
Let’s meet in this potent, magical place together as we Embody Equanimity.
Jean Mazzei, (E-RYT 500, YACEP, Certified Body-Mind Centering® Somatic Movement Educator), has been teaching, exploring, and innovating for over 40 years. Often called “a teacher’s teacher,” she is an expert in the subtleties of yoga sadahana (practices), and bringing the practices to life off the mat. Jean’s mission redefines “real” as she helps people remember who they really are and what they are really doing here. Her sense of humor and commitment to non-judgment provide a safe place for students to explore, break boundaries, and release layers of physical, emotional, and psychic weight.
Being of the school of “Whatever Works,” she believes that “one size does not fit all” when it comes to movement, meditation and consciousness. She is based in Oregon and all around the Universe. jeanmazzei.com

Your retreat includes lodging at Semilla Verde, a boutique hotel on Isla Santa Cruz in the Galapagos. This hotel has 9 rooms and an attentive, caring staff.
Take a look and see what calls to you!
You will have 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches, and 4 dinners included. We left room for you to explore!
Breakfasts are freshly prepared and include fresh fruits, cereals, freshly baked bread, eggs to order, bacon, pancakes or waffles and an Ecuadorian twist like plantain bolones or yuka tortillas. Fresh juice, tea and coffee is included.
Lunches are traditional recipes from Ecuador itself. They typically consist of a light starter such as fried plantain with cheese, a chicken, fish or vegetarian main and a dessert.
Dinners are more cosmopolitan but generally use coastal recipes and focus more towards fish and seafood.
Both the Hotel and Finch Wing have confidence bars with a variety of drinks including beer, wine and sodas.
Tea, coffee and fresh water is available 24/7.
Fly into Guayaquil or Quito. (Quito will have more charm and history although it is very high in altitude, so if you are sensitive to that sort of thing go to Guayaquill).
From our research here are a couple of hotels you may consider in Quito:
