I dont even know the name of the company that took my payment, (on behalf of Air Dynasty) but as soon as they took it, they then told me what was NOT included. In speaking with their rep pre booking, I was very very clear of what was to be included for this $1248.00. The answer by that rep was YES!, I had studied on you tube for months before deciding on this rep to pay. My perecption and what aw advertised was: Landing at Pheriche,(where some guests are offloaded due to the weight to fly to EBC), landing at Kalapattar, flyby of Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Icefall, and landing/breakfast (breakfast pay on own) At Everest View Hotel. with stops to and from in Lukla to refuel. Then, I hear: landing at Pheriche to change out passengers for the flight to EBC and the Icefall and Landing at Kalapattar, was NOT what was included. "Cannot land at Kalapattar as since an accident there, the government will not allow landings!" WRONG!!!!! one couple paid $1700 to land on Kalapattar! Our pilot was grouchy, non-interactive for a thrill exciting flight as this is and should be for $1248.!! I do understand the pilot needs to pay total attention to the flight, he in no way made an effort to acknowledge any of us during what should be a happy adventurous flight like this. What unfolded: Landing at Lukla, refuel, landing at Everest View Hotel for breakfast and for the pilot to take ONLY the two that paid the $1700.00 to land on Kalapattar. They returned and the pilot took 3 of us to EBC for a quick flyby that you could hardly see anything and past Khumbu Icefall for again a quick flyby. I was looking in the wrong direction when he turned to me and said grouchily "there's Mt Everest".....and that was it. We returned to Everest View Hotel and he was off for hours (and yes, understand other duties, prioritize, like emergencies, but at least tell us what's going on!!) Then, hours later, he picked us up and flew directly back to Kathmandu, not stopping in Lukla. To say the least, I was teary eyed with the disappointment and RIP OFF of this flight. AND the windows of the helicopter were all scratched up so pictures did not turn out clear. The one and only time most people take a flight like this. I did it twice and there is another review about that very successful flight! on WETRAVEL.com BEWARE who you use for this flight and ask and ask and ASK questions! The trip was good. The pilots were amazing, professional and great at their job. Unfortunately whoever takes care of the helicopter schedule was a real loser. They made us wait over three hours at the Everest view restaurant. Only after I got in touch did someone get a pilot to get us. Then, we had to wait another 2hrs at Lukla airport. Then another 40 minutes after landing at the Kathmandu airport to be taken to the airport. My husband needed medication. I will direct my clients never to use your company. I paid a lot of money to be very disappointed. Like you will do anything.
