About your trip

Spend four days in Yosemite — one of the most awe-inspiring natural landscapes in the world. During the day, you’ll be free to hike, explore, and choose your own adventure in the park. In the evenings, you’ll return to good food, hot tubs and saunas, and a group of like-hearted people to share the experience with.

Our daily practices are designed to balance out the activity of the park. Mornings begin with SATYA and Yin, opening the body in a gentle, nourishing way to release tension and prepare you for another day of adventure. Evenings close with Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra, helping your body recover, your system settle, and your sleep come more easily. Each session is accessible to all levels and supports you in weaving restoration with activity, so you feel good in your body while also inspired and recharged.

You’ll leave Yosemite not just with memories of adventure, but feeling more at home in your body, steadier in your mind, and nourished on every level.

The Venue

Our home for the weekend is the Yosemite Bug Mountain Resort, a rustic retreat center set under oak and pine in its own small valley, complete with a stream running through it. Originally built as a camp in the 1930s, the Bug now offers private hotel-style rooms, cozy cabins, tent cabins, and house rentals, along with a health spa and the well-loved June Bug Café.

The property itself feels like part of the adventure. Cabins dot the hillside, connected by walking paths that wind through the trees. You’ll encounter couples, families, and outdoor travelers from around the world — all drawn to this unique spot just 27 miles downstream from Yosemite Valley.

It’s a place with character and soul: rustic, welcoming, and surrounded by nature. The perfect base for days of exploring Yosemite and evenings of practice, connection, and restoration.

Meals are freshly prepared at the June Bug Café and included in your retreat. Expect hearty breakfasts, nourishing lunches, and satisfying dinners made with local ingredients and plenty of flavor. The café has both indoor and outdoor seating, where you can enjoy your meals in the mountain air.

On days you head into Yosemite, you can request a packed lunch the night before to take with you — think fresh sandwiches, fruit, and snacks that travel well. After a full day of adventure, you’ll return to a hot meal and a lively dining room atmosphere that makes gathering for dinner part of the experience.

The café can accommodate most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please note your preferences when booking so the kitchen can prepare accordingly.

Your package also includes spa access (hot tub, sauna, and relaxation areas) to support deep rest.

Spa and Massage

One spa day pass is included in your retreat package, giving you access to the Bug’s hot tub and sauna. You can purchase additional day passes if you’d like more time there.

The spa features a hydrogen peroxide + UV light hot tub that looks out over the forest and gorge — refreshing in every season. The cedar sauna with eucalyptus or lavender infusion is perfect for deep calm breathing and body reset.

For deeper restoration, you can book massage therapy (Swedish, deep tissue, hiker’s, or climber’s massage) in serene, candlelit treatment rooms. Massages range from $125–$195 depending on length and style.

If you’re craving even more, try an aromatic soaking bath — stainless steel tubs with essential oils and mineral salts designed for muscle recovery, energy, or skin renewal. Soaks start at $40 for one person or $70 for two.

Advance booking is recommended for massages and soaks.

About Nicole Griffin

I am a nervous system coach and teacher of Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and embodied mindfulness practices. My work is about helping people shift out of survival mode and into more grounded presence — through rest, regulation, and community.

I’ve guided retreats in Morocco, Turkey, and California since 2018 and lead group and 1:1 coaching programs that weave together nervous system science, somatic practice, and cultural insight.

This Yosemite Retreat is an invitation to experience both the awe of nature and the restoration of nervous system practices, held in community.
