Important Documentation:
Helpful Tip: Make two copies of your passport, travel insurance papers, and other essential travel documents. Diversify your copies by storing them electronically on your computer/smartphone and separating them in your money belt, carry-on bag, and checked luggage. Keep your vaccination records with your passport.
Money:
Helpful Tip: You can withdraw local currency from ATMs, and it's usually the most convenient way to get local currency. However, it's always a good idea to bring some petty cash just in case of an emergency. Be mindful of the denomination you carry, as some shops and vendors may not accept large bills.
Clothing:
Helpful Tip: Pack for the season and be mindful of local customs and dress codes. If you run out of outfits, plan to do laundry or purchase clothes locally.
This retreat is a little more active as we will be moving from place to place. We cover a lot of land, but we hope to provide you with a nice mixture of relaxation and excursions. Please plan on packing light and being comfortable walking and climbing stairs.

Additional Personal Items:
Always keep an eye on your belongings and be mindful of pickpockets and scams. If possible, leave valuable items at home or store them in a secure location such as a hotel safe. And don't forget to leave room in your luggage for souvenirs and gifts!
Walker Wellness Retreats is here to ensure your journey is memorable, safe, and hassle-free. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or embarking on your first adventure, our comprehensive guide is designed to empower you with essential information for a smooth exploration of this beautiful country.
Visa and Entry Requirements: Before you set foot on Argentine soil, make sure your passport has at least six months' validity beyond your return date. US citizens do not need a visa for a tourist stay of 90 days or less.
Currency and Financial Essentials: Argentina's heartbeat is the Argentine peso, but fear not, as the US dollar and Euro are widely accepted. Exchange your foreign currencies at banks or authorized agencies, and major credit cards like American Express, VISA, Diners, and MasterCard are your trusted companions.
Power Up: Charge up your devices, as Argentina's electric current flows at 220-380 volts. Be prepared with a plug adapter sporting 2 or 3 flat pins, with the top two pins dancing diagonally.
Health and Safety First: Argentina stands tall as a safe, modern haven with a watchful police presence and quality healthcare. No vaccinations are required. While we vouch for Argentina's safety, a travel medical insurance policy is your extra layer of assurance.
Financial Safety: In Argentina's rhythm, financial harmony is vital. Be discreet with cash, diversify your hideouts, and keep your wallet close. Opt for secure ATMs and safeguard against identity theft on public Wi-Fi. Use credit cards for large purchases and notify your bank of your travel plans.
Personal Safety: Navigate Argentina's charm with street smarts. Keep valuables close, use a money belt, and steer clear of unlit paths at night. Familiarize yourself with basic local phrases, register with the embassy, and keep emergency contacts handy. Whether exploring crowded attractions or wandering through serene landscapes, stay alert.
