      • COVID-19 vaccination records
      • Trip itinerary (including accommodation and transportation details)

      Argentina Travel Tips

Walker Wellness Retreats is here to ensure your journey is memorable, safe, and hassle-free. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or embarking on your first adventure, our comprehensive guide is designed to empower you with essential information for a smooth exploration of this beautiful country.

Visa and Entry Requirements: Before you set foot on Argentine soil, make sure your passport has at least six months' validity beyond your return date. US citizens do not need a visa for a tourist stay of 90 days or less.

Currency and Financial Essentials: Argentina's heartbeat is the Argentine peso, but fear not, as the US dollar and Euro are widely accepted. Exchange your foreign currencies at banks or authorized agencies, and major credit cards like American Express, VISA, Diners, and MasterCard are your trusted companions.

Power Up: Charge up your devices, as Argentina's electric current flows at 220-380 volts. Be prepared with a plug adapter sporting 2 or 3 flat pins, with the top two pins dancing diagonally.

Health and Safety First: Argentina stands tall as a safe, modern haven with a watchful police presence and quality healthcare. No vaccinations are required. While we vouch for Argentina's safety, a travel medical insurance policy is your extra layer of assurance.

Financial Safety: In Argentina's rhythm, financial harmony is vital. Be discreet with cash, diversify your hideouts, and keep your wallet close. Opt for secure ATMs and safeguard against identity theft on public Wi-Fi. Use credit cards for large purchases and notify your bank of your travel plans.

Personal Safety: Navigate Argentina's charm with street smarts. Keep valuables close, use a money belt, and steer clear of unlit paths at night. Familiarize yourself with basic local phrases, register with the embassy, and keep emergency contacts handy. Whether exploring crowded attractions or wandering through serene landscapes, stay alert.

Embark on your Argentine adventure fully equipped with knowledge and confidence. For more detailed information, check out this link. Your journey begins here, and we're honored to be your guide through the wonders of Argentina!

      Payment & Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your trip before the 90-day deadline, 25% of the total trip amount is non-refundable, as are any airfare, train tickets, or ferry tickets purchased as part of your trip package due to the strict cancellation policy by foreign carriers (if applicable).

Trip cancellations requested after the final payment deadlines listed above are non-refundable, and guests are encouraged to file a claim with their travel insurance for reimbursement.

In the unlikely event Walker Wellness Retreats cancels the retreat, guests will be provided a full 100% refund of their booking.

Lastly, we partner with several third-party booking platforms that have separate deposit and cancellation policies. If you book through a third-party partner, please refer to their specific cancellation policies.

      Itinerary

      Day 1
      Welcome to Buenos Aires

      Welcome to Argentina!

      Your Arrival:

Amy Walker, I will be waiting to welcome you at the airport upon your arrival. With her expertise, she will ensure a seamless transfer to your centrally located hotel, where you can unwind and prepare for an exciting adventure in Argentina.

Buenos Aires - The Paris of South America

Renowned as the "Paris of South America" and the "Queen of El Plata," Buenos Aires is a city pulsating with passion. From its rich tango heritage to the genuine enthusiasm for fútbol (soccer), this city is a vibrant blend of culture and excitement.

      Evening Exploration

In the evening, we will delve into the heart of Buenos Aires, starting our journey in the bustling city center. Our itinerary includes visits to iconic landmarks:

      1. Obelisco: Marvel at the city's most famous icon, situated in the middle of Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest city street in the world.
      2. Teatro Colon: Experience the grandeur of one of South America's premier opera houses, a neoclassical masterpiece with breathtaking architecture.
      3. Puerto Madero: Explore this upscale waterfront neighborhood adjacent to downtown. At sunset, take a romantic stroll over the Puente de Mujer ("Woman's Bridge") and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

      Welcome Dinner and Orientation

At 7:00 PM, we invite you to a welcome dinner at an authentic Argentine steakhouse or parilla. Indulge in some of the world's best beef, expertly seasoned with Argentina's famous chimichurri sauce. Embrace the local culture, as Buenos Aires comes alive after dark, with dinner often extending well past nine in the evening, especially on weekends.

To say I was forever changed by this trip would be an understatement. This was my second retreat with Walker Wellness and everything was perfect. I always believe the yoga, hiking and gourmet meals will be my favorite part. But I find the people I meet to be the most moving part of the entire experience. I have developed a deeper sense of myself, increased inner peace and lasting friendships. What more could you ask for?

Phenomenal from start of finish, first-class accommodations in a private home, nestled in the mountains near Zion. Our retreat host/yoga instructor lead beautiful practice in the mornings and evenings, complete with mandala and essential oils. Yoga mats and props were provided. The beauty of having a van transport you to and from the park every day was a huge plus. The food was delicious and nutritious with plenty of options for the vegan or vegetarian. Breakfast was served and dining was serene outside on the deck overlooking the mountains and forest. Lunch fixings were laid out where you assembled, and then were able to put into your backpack and take on your hike. Returning from a day of hiking, we had restorative yoga in the evenings and then were treated to gourmet dinners with healthy and decadent options. The hot tub underneath the stars was a nice bonus after a day on the hiking trails. Sleeping rooms were spacious, showers were nice and clean with good pressure. Snacks were provided and we never were wanting for anything. Every need was taken care of for a particularly relaxing experience, unplugged. Hiking Scout's Lookout and Angel's Landing, one of our retreat members received the lottery and the Narrows opened up on our last day. The beauty of Southern Utah with the luxurious experience that Walker Wellness provides, we were very prepared with the Zoom call prior to the event. I will definitely be back, hopefully to Sedona or Yellowstone. Walker Wellness is the way to go!

Kudos to Alle(Alley cat💕) a superb yoga leader and retreat guide extraordinaire! I am fresh back from Walker Wellness’s Zion/Bryce Canyon yoga retreat and I have to say it is one of the best trip experiences in my life to date. The yoga was tailored to our group of warm, friendly, and interesting women’s needs. I feel so blessed to have met such a nice group of women! The parks were stunning and the hikes were spectacular! There were plenty of opportunities for photo ops and shopping in the parks and in the quaint town just outside of Zion. Meals were prepared by Amber who was creative and inventive and a smiling face every morning over coffee /tea and breakfast. And just in case meals were not enough there were plenty of yummy snacks available. I will definitely be planning another trip with Walker Wellness! My thanks and praise to Alle and Amber!!
