Your tour experience begins with a transportation service pick up from your accommodation between 8:30 am – 9:00 am  then we head off our way and have a short stop at  the popular Ban Xang Hai Village, also known as ‘the whiskey village’. Here you can see the process of making lao lao, the country’s beloved rice whiskey and for some maybe even a early morning sample!

From there we are less than 2kms / 10 minute drive from the 95 hectare property and home to 17 elephants at Manifa Elephant Camp

After a few important introductions and a brief orientation, you will get straight into interacting with the manifa elephants and start the mahout training program – get used to being close to and comfortable with one of the 17 elephants – share in the experience of cruelty free riding (optional bareneck or howdah) – join in the snacktime feeding and have the option of splashing around in the water with the elephants during one of their many daily bath time sessions

Enjoy a beautiful buffet style lunch @ the restaurant – overlooking the mekong river.

From manifa elephant camp, we drive to Ban Suan Luang Village, where we start Kayaking. This adventure destination package will take you into the water as you paddle your kayak on the Nam Khan River

Enjoy the many views from the water, witness typical scenes of rural laos villages, fishermen, children and everyday lives along the way. Take in the surrounding karst landscapes as you approach the beautiful cascades of the Tad Sae Waterfall. Each rainy season these falls erupt with life as the extra water from the mountains plunge over the flat rocks.

The natural pools at the base of the waterfall are a must for a swim

From here it is time to make our way back into Luang Prabang town center.  Typically this is between 5:30pm -6:00pm drop off location is at the post office on the main street, near the night market or at your accommodation by prior arrangement or on request
