Ibeliz Guadalupe has been practicing yoga since 2008 while living in New York City. Yoga became a pathway to pause and reset in the midst of city life. She became a registered vinyasa yoga teacher (RYT) in 2015. Soon after, having great love for children, she became Level 1 Children's Yoga certified and Level 1 Rasa-Restorative Yoga certified as well. After a series of fortunate events, life brought her back to Ohio, where she completed her undergrad in Fashion Design 10 years prior. It is here that Ibeliz began exploring the mental limbs of yoga and became meditation and reiki level certified as well . During this transformative time, she deepened her practice by peeling back layers of self to find her truth. She believe that her life's purpose is to teach and shine light. Whether its fashion design, art or yoga, she aims to continue growing as a teacher and learning as a student to continue to spread love light and knowledge everywhere she can.

I had a wonderful time. Doing yoga in the open air with the sounds of nature and the ocean breeze is a wonderful experience. The excursions, the food, the people all amazing.

For a first time at this retreat it has been nothing less than amazing! I’m so impressed by how well everything went. It was smooth transitioning through the day and full of activities. I’m ready for next year as I continue this yoga journey!

Ibeliz did an outstanding job! She prepared us for every step along the way and offered a warm welcome when we arrived. The accommodations were safe and clean with a beautiful view. The food was healthy and exceptionally delicious. The itinerary had a great balance of yoga flow, exploring the island, rest and connecting with the others on the trip. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. It was a dream come true!

Liberating... What an amazing experience.

The St. Croix Yoga Journey into 2020 was a series of unforgettable experiences. Ibelize had this trip very well organized, and her positive and cheery spirit made it so enjoyable! There were unique lodgings right in the rainforest, with views of the crystal clear nighttime scene of the starry sky, unlike I have seen. Being surrounded by native plants, trees, and creatures was a dream for a nature lover like me. She led us through yoga on a platform bordered by the rainforest, an inspirational setting. We went on a food tasting tour plus walking tour of the city, a great introduction to St. Croix’s fascinating history and culture. Home cooked meals were delicious. Seeing the movie JUMANJI with the local audience made me feel a part of St. Croix,, where I grew quickly to love the people, culture, and history. Since Ibeliz is native to this beautiful place, her familiarity and love for the island readily transferred to the members of the Yoga Retreat. The boating and kayaking trips were experiences I often dream about, but rarely experience. Visiting and exploring the well preserved ruins of the plantation had a special and unique feel for the past and its meaning. Being able to photograph the yoga on the beach at sunset on the last day of the decade was a beautiful experience. Reviewing my many photos will continue to allow me to appreciate that scene. Finally, there were memorable drives to Pt. Udall and through the rainforest on Mahogany Road. Thank you Ibeliz for packing so much life into this journey. I also really enjoyed the other members of the Yoga Retreat - both from the Mainland, and Ibeliz’s great family. Stephen Harvey
