In the morning, your guides will pick you up at your La Grande accommodations for transportation to our trailhead into the wilderness. First we'll stop and look at our take-out so everyone is familiar with the river and what's to come. From there, we don our backpacks and take a leisurely hike to camp, stopping along the way to look for wild mushrooms.  

At camp, we kick off the adventure with dinner using our foraged ingredients and craft cocktails! 

Today is our day to enjoy the solitude and fun of the wilderness. After a hearty breakfast, it's time to , hit the river for safety basics and familiarize yourself with the boats: entry, exit, movement, and paddling strokes. Dine on a charcuterie style lunch before continuing the fun with more paddling or foraging. 

On our last morning, help break camp after a chef-prepared breakfast and prepare our boats for a 12-15 paddle to where the Minam meets the Wallowa River on its journey to the Pacific Ocean. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, practice what you learned the day before, and just enjoy being on the water! After a celebratory beer at the takeout, our guides will take you back to La Grande. Hugs goodbye and a safe drive home.
