I still can’t quite believe it was real. What an absolutely incredible experience this expedition was. Not only was the crew wonderful but so was the boat, the hot tub, the food, the whales, the Immersia team and the Immersia group. We laughed, we witnessed beautiful moments both above and below the surface. Thanks for making sure I could tick another couple of things off my bucket list.

I have been lucky enough to be on one of the most exciting adventures I could have ever imagined. Everything was amazing not just the experience with the whales. Grateful that Immersia brought together a community of like minded people to share and create new friendships and support the local community of Moorea. I hope to go again!!!

This is our 2nd Immersia Moorea trip. It didn’t disappoint. Bella and the team looked after our every need. The accomodation and food were fabulous, the organisation brilliant, and the whale trips…just wow! We had the most beautiful group - lifelong friends and connections made. I can highly recommend Immersia retreats - they are well organised, always ethical and they never disappoint.

In summary, my partner and I had an amazing time with the Immersia team (Bella, Ewan & Micol) and equally with the other guests during the course of the whale expedition in Moorea. We highly recommend the experience and would go again! You can tell the guest experience has been highly curated and revised to ensure all aspects of the trip are taken care of, from initial communication when booking the trip until the final drop at the wharf after the trip has ended. The team do everything in their power (weather and whales whispering aside) to make this an unforgettable experience. Pre trip - expedition guide is provided so you know exactly what to expect during your stay, equipment list provided and travel recommendations getting to and from Moorea plus a WhatsApp’s group is created to provide on going support and direction right up until collection from Moorea wharf to accommodation. During trip - Immersia team offer a very warm welcome/collection for guests and run through an initial briefing of the trip, hosts and other guests so everyone connects and understands what the next several days will entail. Accommodation - the house is amazing, right on the water with pool and beautiful surroundings. Has everything you need with local shops 5 min walk away. Delicious meals - each morning for breakfast, some lunches/dinners are prepared is house by the very talented Micol, plus unlimited tea/coffee and drinks. We also ate out a few times and a local Italian restaurant (amazing pizzas) and a very nice hotel on the water for something a little fancier. A great mix of eating in and enjoying the local cuisine. Whale experience - incredible local boat crew and on hand to guide and lead the expedition each day, some full and half days. They are constantly on the shell phone with other boats to find the best whale experience for the guests. We were lucky to have great weather to see and hear whales everyday plus swim with sharks and rays. Interactions with whales and guides was fun, respectful and memorable. Seeing a pod of sperm whales was rather insane! Photographer was also on board who swims with the groups to capture group/individual pictures. Group dynamics/environment - the Immersia team excel and creating an environment for all guests to openly be themselves and connect with likeminded people. This aspect alone is very unique and will set Immersia apart from other whale expeditions as culture within the team/guests can make or break the experience. Definitely one of the unexpected highlights for me! Special mention to MC Ewan who really should be up for as Oscar. If you are lucky to experience the trip you’ll see what I mean. Essentially going above and beyond to create a really fun and interactive trip out of the water. Post trip - of course a little down after the epic adventure comes to an end. The WhatsApp group is available to help in any way, share photos and stay connected. No doubt I missed a lot, big thank you again to Bella, Ewan and Micol. Mike & Vero

I recently had the absolute pleasure of joining Immersia’s whale expedition in Moorea, and I can confidently say it was one of the most enriching and joyful experiences I’ve ever had. From the start, the organization was seamless, and the food was consistently excellent—nourishing, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail was clearly planned with care. What truly stood out to me was how ethically the wildlife experiences were conducted. Guided by knowledgeable and respectful locals, every encounter with the whales felt deeply meaningful and aligned with my values around responsible tourism and conservation. The photo package was beyond incredible—capturing not just the beauty of the whales, but also the magic of our group’s shared moments. I’ll treasure those images forever. A huge shoutout to Bella and Ewan, the passionate organizers who poured their hearts into making sure each of us had the best experience possible. Their energy, kindness, and dedication were felt every single day. Our group was also incredible—like-minded nature lovers who were equally happy soaking in the serenity of the ocean or laughing over silly moments together. It created such a warm, supportive vibe that made the whole retreat even more special. I’m already dreaming of going back. Without a doubt, I’ll be joining another Immersia expedition in the future. If you’re looking for a meaningful, fun, and ethically guided wildlife experience, this is it.
