An endless journey to take joy from our body/ mind , mastering the discipline of breathing, with the freedom of diving weightlessly on the reef.
This week is hosted by two talented Freediving Instructors ( @molchanovs Freediving ) Mari & Travis! An extraordinary freediving week in the Indian Ocean, training and enjoying the ocean in all its splendor.
The plan involves 8 nights and 8 days of comprehensive freediving training, open to all levels. The focus will be on exploring the magic of freediving, taking joy into interacting with marine life, exploring the colors of the reef, and improving personal limits. Daily sessions will enhance your techniques and breath-holding abilities.
A week suitable both for beginners willing to explore a new discipline, and for advance freedivers having the opportunity to train further with Marianna and Travis, exploring new waters and joy from warm cristal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
It would be a pleasure to host you and show you around our hidden corner in Maldives in Laamu atoll on the island of Gan, in the south of the country.
Whar are the so called 'local islands' in Maldives?
This term refers to the inhabited islands where Maldivian citizens live, as opposed to the resort islands that are exclusively dedicated to tourism. Traveling to a local island in the Maldives offers a unique and enriching experience, providing an authentic taste of Maldivian life while supporting the local community and economy.
Why we support and love Maldivian traditional islands.
. Authentic Cultural Experience: Visiting local islands allows you to experience the authentic Maldivian culture, traditions, and lifestyle. You can interact with the residents, try local cuisine, and participate in community activities.
. Cost-Effective: Local islands are more affordable compared to resort islands.
Accommodation, food, and activities on local islands are often less expensive, making it a budget-friendly option for travelers
. Support Local Economy: Spending money on local islands directly supports the local economy. By choosing local guesthouses, restaurants, and shops, you contribute to the livelihoods of the island residents.
. Less Crowded: Local islands tend to be less crowded than popular resort islands, offering a more peaceful and relaxed environment.
. Access to Untouched Nature: where nature sees fewer humans, it stays wilder. Here the chance to access and experience untouched beaches, coral reefs, and natural beauty that are less frequented by tourists, allowing for a more serene and untouched experience.
