Touch down at San Cristóbal Airport (SCY) — if you can, aim to land after noon so you're not rushing straight off the plane. We'll get you checked into the hotel, take some time to explore the town, and then ease into island life with an optional sunset paddleboard and snorkel session. Totally optional, but we'd be lying if we said it wasn't a favorite way to start the trip.

Half walking tour, half snorkeling adventure. Isla Lobos packs in an absurd amount of wildlife for one small island — birds wheeling overhead, sea lions lounging like they own the place (they kind of do), plus crabs, fish, and iguanas everywhere you look. This is the day the Galápagos starts to feel like something out of a nature documentary, except you're actually in it.

Today's the big one. We'll swim alongside hammerhead sharks, rays, and sea turtles at Kicker Rock — yes, really — before spending the rest of the day looping all the way around San Cristóbal Island, stopping at beaches so gorgeous they almost don't feel real. It's a full loop of the island, and by the end of it, you'll understand why people can't stop talking about this place.
