Flights and Arrivals

You should plan to fly in to and out of Cairo, Egypt.

Afternoon or evening arrivals are best.

Your return flight should be scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2019.

Spending Money

These are all included: your hotel, airport transfers, tours, admissions, transportation, breakfasts and lunches.

You will need at least $170-$200, to pay for:

1. Three dinners - average $10-$20 each.

2. Visa - $25 USD for your visa upon arrival.

3. Tips - You can estimate these at $115, and here is a breakdown:
                DRIVERS- Airport transfers -$4 USD x 2 = $8
                DRIVERS - Daily tours - $5 USD x 3 = $15
                LUGGAGE PORTERS - $2 USD x 2 = $4
                 AIRPORT AGENTS - $5 USD x 2 = $10
                RESTAURANT STAFF - $3 USDx6 = $18
               TOUR GUIDES - $20 USD per day x 3 days = $60

You will need more money if you choose any of these optional offerings:

· Optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids: lights illuminate the ancient monuments. $45.

· Optional entry inside the Great Pyramid – 360 Egyptian pounds (about $20)

· Optional entry into the Mummy Room in the Egyptian Museum - 180 Egyptian pounds (about $10)

· Optional photo permit inside the Egyptian Museum - 50 Egyptian pounds (about $3)

You will also need money for drinks and souvenirs, and only you know how much you’ll need for those!! Merchants in the souks do not take credit cards, so you will need cash for purchases in the marketplaces. (Larger stores and shops for larger/better quality items such as rugs, jewelry, papyrus, alabaster, and essential oils DO take credit cards).

I recommend bringing a bunch of one dollar bills (25-50) to use for tips and small purchases.

Activity Level

This program is active.

Walking is done over uneven surfaces and steps.

Expect most days of sightseeing to require three to four hours of walking as well as a considerable time standing.

The pacing is active as many sites are included.

Was convenient to pay, to communicate, and find activities on the way. Would love to do a similar trip next year.
We had an amazing adventure with an overall good group of women. The food was wonderful and I learned a lot. The itinerary was fast paced with some down time built in. Our guide was very knowledgeable, accommodating and dedicated.
The trip was wonderful. The itinerary was packed full of information and activities. The exposure to Egypt's history, food and customs was carefully orchestrated by our tour guide. Yasser was so very accommodating, almost to a fault, as he tried to ensure everyone's needs were met. We were a diverse group of women who enjoyed our trip.
Whenever I go on vacation I say nothing beats the last one. This vacation has me ecstatic, no stone was left unturned. The diversity of souk markets, alabaster and perfume factories, carpet schools, jewelry bazaars, spice markets in addition to the Nile cruise, history, temples, culinary and culture I am still floating on the clouds with my new luggage from trying to bring home a piece of everything. The people were nice and I felt safe at all times. My guide Yasser was phenomenal. This vacation is imprinted on my heart. Thanks bucket list travel, girls love travel and the beautiful ladies with whom I had the pleasure of enjoying on this magnificent adventure.
I feel extremely lucky to have gone on this trip. Since day 1, all things were organized (from where to eat, to what to visit, and even small details like snacks). Amani in Alexandria was knowledgeable and fun, and our guide Yasser throughout the trip was unbelievable. He was fun, funny, charming, knowledgeable, and took the time to speak with each participant to get to know us all better. It helped build rapport throughout the whole trip, making it easier to experience Egypt in a more authentic way, and through his perspective. I greatly appreciated him answering all my questions, too! The fact that he was patient, always willing to help, and defended us when bargaining at shops only added to the level of trust and made me feel welcome and taken care of. Leaving Egypt was extremely difficult not just because I had the time of my life there, but because Yasser is so kind that I felt like I was saying goodbye to a good friend. The only thing I would recommend is having an additional day on the tour, as things felt extremely rushed on our last day in which we visited Old Cairo and the Cairo museum. Also, I am thankful for arriving a day early, as it almost doesn't make sense to stay at such a nice place when there is such limited free time that the incredible amenities could not be used. I would have loved a little more down time to work out or hit up the steam room/pool/jacuzzi for a little bit each day. I think it is important to consider everyone's health prior to booking this tour, as some aspects were difficult for a person from our group and prevented us from having additional time at certain places (I would have also loved to do more walking). She was a trooper, and Yasser was patient and helpful with her. Regardless, these things did not have an impact on my experience overall, which was fantastic! I highly recommend this tour and will tell anyone interested in going to Egypt about Yasser and this life-changing experience.
