Back by popular demand! We loved this New England road trip retreat so much, we're doing it again!
Welcome the Autumn Equinox, bask in the September moon, and listen to the whispers of nature in the Green Mountains of Vermont!
Join Mel Gorman Wegimont, Tara Beaulieu, and Michele Maker Sunday evening through Wednesday morning for a midweek getaway filled with yoga, meditation, guided hikes, art therapy, dancing, and forest bathing. Connect with nature and yourself during this soulful retreat in the magical green mountain landscape of Vermont. We’ll stay at the Battenkill Valley Mansion at the Wilburton Inn, a family-owned and operated estate nestled on 5 wooded acres in Manchester, Vermont. Our accommodations are a unique and meticulously restored New England mansion that will have you feeling a world away as you enjoy opportunities to disconnect, reset, and create space to find joy in the simple moments that matter.
ATMY+W retreats offer an opportunity to connect on a deeper level, beyond the studio, cultivating a community of support, or Sangha. In addition to morning yoga and a slower, gentle evening flow each day, we’ll share some eco-therapy, savoring the wonder of the fall season with autumn's golden array of foliage on full display. Offerings will include movement, stillness, and some creative “goddess” rituals to engage your senses and honor Mother Earth.
See, Hear, Breathe, Feel, and Heal, as your surroundings welcome you on a path to inner peace.
This retreat is only a 4-hour drive from South County. Travel with ease at your pace, and slow down as you transition into the fall season.
Mel Gorman Wegimont has been teaching transformative yoga classes for 17 years. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Cathy Cesario of Spirit Tree Yoga and her 500-hour Prana Flow® teacher training with Coral Brown. She is trained in Restorative Yoga through Jillian Pransky, is a certified Reiki Master, and a co-teacher in the Pranotthan 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Mel’s journey with yoga has led her to study in Rishikesh, India, and beyond.
She regularly leads local workshops and trainings as well as yoga retreats around the world.
Mel became a student of yoga and the healing arts in 1999, when a friend brought her – one week after a breast-cancer diagnosis – to Kendall Sheldon's yoga class. In that first class Mel discovered the healing power of yoga, and today she is not only radiantly healthy but also joyfully sharing the healing benefits of yoga with students and mentoring others coping with cancer. Her practice and teaching are informed by study with numerous teachers, and her classroom setting is one of safe and sacred space where her students encounter a mixture of levity, reverence, and honesty as Mel guides them to their own experience of yoga. She encourages students to take their yoga – this practice of finding what they need in body, spirit, and heart – off their mats and into their lives.
Tara Beaulieu is a graduate of the Pranotthan Yoga School through All That Matters. Her teachings are informed by extensive study of sacred texts, yogic philosophy, and modern-day yoga and movement modalities with teachers like Doug Keller, Alanna Kaivalya, Trina Altman, and Georg + Brenda Feuerstein. She is trained in Deep Play for Kids, Yin Yoga and Meditation, Restorative Yoga, and is currently completing a year-long intensive study of the Bhagavad Gitā. Tara is also a teacher in the Pranotthan 200 and 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, a Reiki Master, and Co-Director of All That Matters Yoga + Wellness.
A lifelong student of yoga and the arts, Tara’s practice is guided by her creative process: finding a balance between intuitive living and mindful action. Making the choice more than 20 years ago to step out of the workforce and stay home with her three boys and pursue her art, she learned that the secret to living a consciously happy life is to practice listening to oneself. She believes that doing the work to make space for inner knowing, learning to trust instincts, and above all, honoring personal truth paves a clear path for happiness in our lives. When we learn to interpret the signals that are inherent to our being (tuning in to our life force) we awaken an awareness and understanding that allows us to heal from within. In addition to teaching yoga and leading retreats, Tara is a mother to 3 amazing young men, a sea glass artist, and a silversmith.
Michele Maker is a graduate of the Pranotthan Yoga School and is certified in Restorative Yoga, Reiki, and Transcendental Meditation. She is also the Co-Director of All That Matters Yoga + Wellness. Throughout her journey, Michele leans into her diverse experience in the arts and entertainment world, leading the marketing and promotions division for a radio and media group in Providence, overseeing a waterfront venue in Newport, RI, producing concerts and cultural festivals, an international boat show, and an outdoor skating rink. Over the past ten years, she has embarked on entrepreneurship and small business, creating an event production company, and expanding her portfolio to ownership of a contemporary art gallery in Newport, representing artists from all over the world, and most recently launching s’OM, the boutique alongside ATMY+W. An avid yogi for over 30 years, Michele found her home within the All That Matters community.
A seeker and explorer by nature, Michele enjoys finding innovative ways to share yoga and revolutionary healing through community, connection, and joyful experiences. In her classes, she fuses vivid imagery, creativity, expansive breath practice, and a whimsical, playful flow, guiding her students on a journey of joy, presence, and empowerment. Michele credits yoga and mindfulness practices as her anchor during the most pivotal times personally and professionally, and is committed to cultivating ATMY+W as a sacred space for healing and reflection. She believes she is truly living her dharma at ATMY+W as a community builder, creating and holding space by curating a welcoming sanctuary for all through mind-body-spirit connection.
