About this trip

Join Lila Heller and Lea Udry for one week of Pilates and yoga classes at the beautiful Monte Velho Retreat Center in Monte Velho, Portugal. Enjoy one hour and a half Pilates class and one hour and a half yoga class per day as well as a variety of optional activities available at Monte Velho, including hiking, horseback riding, surfing, massage, music and more.

About your instructors:

Lila Heller

Lila believes that when we feel good in our bodies we are inspired to do good in the world. Her goal is to help people move better, breathe better, and feel better in order to live a life they truly love. She infuses the principles of yoga, and mindfulness throughout her Pilates classes. Lila is trained in a variety of modalities, including Pilates ( Polestar, Integrated Teacher Training, Master Level), Parayoga, and Silvestre Dance Technique. She is also a certified NASM Personal Trainer, Ice Chamber-trained Kettlebell instructor, and R @ I Z-Health specialist.

Lea Udry

Fascinated by the interaction of body and mind, anatomy and energy, strength and stability, Lea embraces Pilates, dance, and yoga. Lea’s commitment is to inspire others to realize their own gifts and potential. She loves teaching and sharing her studies and teaches strong and dynamic classes, so that space for expansion can be created. At the same time she puts great emphasis on proper alignment and traditional practices such as pranayama and meditation. Lea is certified in Anusara Elements Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Pilates Matwork. She is also trained in Anatomy Trains in Motion and Slings and has several certifications in dance.

A note on pricing:

Guests will be entitled to a full refund less 10% of the total cost, with notice at least 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. With notice of cancellation 59 days or less from the scheduled arrival date, there will be a cancellation penalty of 25% for the total stay. There will be no refunds with notice of cancellation less than two weeks prior to arrival. Guests are responsible for all nights reserved at the rates reserved. There are no refunds or prorating for arriving late or leaving earlier than the reserved dates.

Travel information:

The closest airport is Faro (1.5 hours to Monte Velho), followed by Lisbon (3.5 hours to Monte Velho); transport from either airport to the retreat center can be arranged. A third option is arrival into Lagos by bus through RedeExpressos or EVABUS. Pickup can be arranged upon request from there. Note that travel from the U.S. to Portugal does not require a visa.

Bell Valley was a lovely place to experience Lila's Spring Retreat. I appreciate Lila's ability to accommodate all skill levels and physical abilities. I always felt encouraged and supported. It was fun to explore different ways to move throughout the weekend. I felt deeply nourished and rejuvenated. The food was amazing and the natural setting was simply beautiful. 10 days have passed since I spent the weekend at Lila Heller's Mendocino Spring Renewal Retreat and I am still feeling the positive effects of a weekend filled with rejuvenation and renewal. The itinerary was a perfect mix of classes in the morning and afternoon, free time to hike and explore the amazing property, and meal-times with delicious food from a nourishing chef. I feel so lucky to have spent three days with healers Lila, Shannon, Natalie, Prema, and Nora.

Lila did a fantastic job of creating a well balanced retreat. Holding time for movement, personal reflection and laughter. The facility was peaceful and beautiful. There were amazing views and hiking trails and the accommodations were rustic but very very comfortable. The food was healthy and delicious, i looked forward to every meal. I appreciated that folks could engage when they wanted and step back if they preferred. Looking forward to doing another retreat with Lila soon!
