Whether you’re transitioning from the gym, looking to become a more capable partner, or just trying climbing for the first time, these group days are designed to give you a well-rounded introduction to outdoor climbing.
We’ll start by making sure everyone is comfortable with the basics - belaying, knot tying, and general rope systems - building or refining those skills as needed. From there, we'll cover the essentials of climbing outside: crag etiquette, movement on real rock, equipment selection, hazard identification, and more.
And of course, you'll spend plenty of time climbing. We'll choose an area that suits the group well and offers a great selection and variety of climbing styles. It might be the case that not every route is a perfect fit for every climber, but everyone will have plenty of opportunity to be challenged appropriately throughout the day.
Cathedral Mountain Guides values small groups and low ratios so that you are sure to get the most out of the day and that we are responsibly sharing the crag with others. As such, these days are capped at 4 participants.
Join us and begin your journey into the amazing world of outdoor rock climbing!
