Our Open Water Certification is divided into three exciting phases:

Phase 1: Academic Studies – Study at your own pace from the comfort of home with our online course. Once you've completed the online learning, our experienced instructors will bring those concepts to life in an engaging, real-world setting. Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures proudly offers NAUI Certification to get you started.

Phase 2: Pool Session – At Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures , we don’t just teach people to dive; we teach them to be responsible, eco-conscious divers. Our multiple-day pool sessions are designed to give you all the time you need to master your skills, without rushing. We believe in building confident divers, not just fast certifications!

Phase 3: Training Dives – Get ready for the ultimate adventure! You’ll complete 4 certification dives on a local quarry or on one of our many destination trips. You’ll apply everything you’ve learned in a real open water setting, with top-notch equipment, dive computers, and certification included. Plus, with a maximum of 6 students per instructor, you’ll get the attention and guidance you need to succeed.

 Dive Program Package Includes:

• NAUI Certification Fee: Covers the issuance of the official certification card.
• Access to Online Learning: Complete the classroom portion of the course with interactive tutorials.
• Instructor Support: Instructor available for all pool sessions and tutoring of online classroom material. Assistance with questions throughout the course.
• Dive Log, Dive Tables, and Certification Materials: Provided to help track your progress and understanding.
• Equipment Use: Enjoy the use of Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures Dive Shop equipment (tanks, regulator, buoyancy compensator, weights, and weight belt) for all pool sessions and the open water dive weekend.

 By the third pool session, you’ll need your own scuba-appropriate mask, fins, snorkel, and wetsuit boots. Don’t worry—Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures has gear available for the first two sessions while you find the perfect fit. Properly fitting gear is crucial for an amazing underwater experience, so swing by the shop for a professional fitting! We also offer exclusive student packages for these items. Open Water Weekend Costs: Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! You’ll be responsible for the cost of quarry admission, overnight stay, transportation, and food during the open water weekend. It’s an unforgettable experience, so come prepared!

Gear Responsibility: You are responsible for picking up and returning your equipment used for your training dives at Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures.  Please return it dried & cleaned after the weekend!
