From the diversity of Antiguas’s  neighborhoods to the look out of Santiaguito Active Volcano, step into the  deluxe and experience Guatemalan the way every royal would want to.

8:00hrs - Travel to Chichiastenango, explore the most colorful market of Central America, see local shamans performing Mayan ceremonies, the colorful cemetery, the old church of Santo Tomas dated from 1540. After the tour you will continue with the journey to Sacapulas, place where a native Mayan family will be waiting for you and join a local lunch experience. The rest of the day you can chose to go with a family member to explore the village, and the giant Guatemalan National tree la Ceiba. Overnight with the family (you will have your own private room and shared bathroom.) 

8:00 a.m. Today your host family will prepare a delicious Guatemalan breakfast and coffee, later say bye tour family and continue for 2.5hrs to the region of the Ixil triangle of Guatemala. En route you will enjoy some incredible views of the ridge of los Cuchumatanes, la falla del Polochic and Chichoy. You will reach Las Cataratas de Chichel, in time to enjoy the views, enjoy a picnic lunch arranged by your guide, then continue to the village of San Juan Cotzal, explore with your guide, visit the Catholic Church which is a highlight of the tour too. Later on the day travel to Nebaj for the night. Ovenight at Local Hotel Santa Maria or Similar. 

7:30 a.m. - As the sun warms up your, get some great coffee, eat breakfast and your driver  and guide will be ready for the adventure to Chajul, which is based just  about one hour away from Nebaj, see the the cornfield plantation,  coffee along the way, when suddenly start seeing the smoke coming out  from the tiny adobe homes, happy people walking toward the central  plaza, place where the market is happening. The village of Chajul  contains some of the oldest, most consistently inhabited homes in. The  sounds of the market continue to drift through the aisles as you depart  from Chajul and continue to El Unicornio Azul for one night.

8:00 a.m. Travel from El Unicornio Azul to Todos los Santos, one of the most remote villages of Guatemala. Here you will have time to explore with your guide, visit the main plaza, with time to take some great pictures, see some of the local artesans and then travel to Quetzaltenango, with stop at the mirador Dieguez Olaverri for 1 night. 

4:30 a.m. Early in the morning leave your hotel for an early hike to El Mirador del Volcan Santiaguito, our youngest volcano in Guatemala. The hike last approx. 1.5hrs on a moderate path, a little difficult on the beginning and then much better path and easy. After this awesome experience, you will return to Quetzaltenango and drive toward San Andres Xecul, San Francisco el Alto for a short visit  and then continue to Lake Atitlan, where our boat will be waiting for you and take you to your lake front hotel.  

9:00 a.m. - The sun rises at 6:30 a.m. in time for your to admire the Lake and volcanoes from your room. Enjoy a delicious breakfast right at our Lake Front Restaurant. Your guide will and boat man will be ready to take for your a day our and explore the most colorful village of Lake Atitlan and Santiago Atitlan. You will see local artisan, weavers cooperatives and even enjoy a short coffee  and chocolate tour. After lunch and a guided visit of Santiago, you will visit the Cofradia of Santa Cruz, place where you see one of the Mayans famous deity MAXIMON. At the end of the tour you will return to your hotel in time to watch the sunset and volcanoes of Lake Atitlan. 

8:00 a.m. - Depart from Lake Atitlan to Guatemala City. En route stop in Antigua Guatemala, explore Antigua on your own, after a day out in Antigua, continue with your trip to Guatemala City. End of your journey.  (Guest can chose to stop in Antigua and flexible departure should be discussed with their guide on the last day of the tour)
