Do you want to learn how to backpack, but aren't sure where to start? Do you want to go backpacking, but don't feel comfortable going alone? Are you interested in joining a group of amazing women+ for two fun-filled days of hiking, camping, sunsets, and more? If that sounds like you, then you'll LOVE the Girls Who Hike Virginia learn to backpack trip hosted by Blaze Adventure Tours!
Our trained and Wilderness First Responder Certified guides will lead you through the backcountry of Shenandoah National Park as you learn about backpacking preparedness, safety, best practices, and much more! Highlights of the trip include a sunset hike and sweeping views from Black Rock Summit!
Before the trip you'll have the chance for a group session with one of our guides to discuss how to get ready and pack for the trip, as well get to know your fellow backpackers!
Backpacking and sleeping gear is provided so do not worry if you don't have all the bells and whistles; all you need is the ability to hike with a 30-lb pack for 4-6 hours and a willingness to try new and exciting things. Please note that we will stay at a campground. This allows participants to ease themselves into the world of backpacking while maintaining some frontcountry comforts!

We never want to cancel a tour or have anyone cancel on us. We do understand that life happens regardless. The following constitutes our cancellation policy and is designed to be fair and allow us to best serve all of our customers. Happy Travels!

If you choose a future trip credit with us it must be used within one calendar year of issuance.
The Fine Print:
We cannot make exceptions to this policy for any reason including but not limited to personal emergencies, unexpected weather, natural disasters or terrorism. Blaze Adventure Tours also reserves the right to cancel any trip or remove any customer from a trip using our discretion if the safety of our travelers or staff should be compromised. In the event of cancellation, Blaze Adventure Tours is not responsible for any loss incurred for non-refundable travel costs. In this case, a refund of payments received by Blaze Adventure Tours will constitute the full and final settlement.

If you are using Blaze Adventure Tours gear, a $50 refundable deposit is required. If you return our gear to us it will be refunded. We have had to introduce this policy due to gear "walking away" at the end of the trip. Thank you for your understanding.
