      About this trip

Join us in this very special women-only get-away to the lush and beautiful island of Jamaica. It’s time for an adventure with your sisters in spirit. Give yourself the gift of a unique experience and book with us. Start your planning now. Next summer is going to be a big one for us as we celebrate our 7-year anniversary. We want you as you are: hide your hair or don’t care; married and musty; single and happy; brokenhearted and healing; or anything between or beyond, we welcome you.

This is for women of all faiths because we know that Jamaica has the power to connect you to yourself and the universal, adventurous nature of others with you! Plunge into fresh mineral baths, waterfalls, and lagoons. Savor the natural and gastronomic wonders of Stush In The Bush; down-to-earth organic farming; as well as exclusive fine dining in the hills. Climb the Blue Mountains (it’s ok, no special gear necessary), visit the Rasta School of Vision, and experience true local culture! This is your time to have an experience of a lifetime. Plan it and, as Jamaican’s say, reach!

I had been dreaming about visiting Morocco for many years, and I’m so glad I decided to book my trip with Burgundy Roots to help realize that dream. Every hotel, restaurant, and stop along the tour was thoughtfully curated and each was more breathtaking than the next. We got to experience Morocco’s beauty and magic with amazing travel hosts who were all North African, and who graciously welcome us to experience their culture. Along the way, we made lifelong friendships, amazing memories, and shared in a loving community. I encourage everyone interested in exploring Morocco to book this trip!

The trip was well organized and planned. when my daughter broke her leg ( might rethink those stairs in the blue city) the staff supported us with a ton of compassion . Because they are professional but also good humans, they were able to make sure we were really cared for while still supporting the tour. everyone in the group and on the team was incredibly kind. It made the experience deeply meaningful even when we couldn't finish the " tour" . We really saw the heart of Morocco. would definitely do it again !

This was my 3rd trip with burgundy roots-and let me start off by saying: just when I thought I knew what to expect-the trip exceeded my expectations-it keeps getting better!! This trip should be titled Morocco dreamin’ because it was an absolute dream!! Wafa and her team (Khadija and Mohammad) helped organize the trip of a lifetime. You can tell Wafa puts a lot of thought into strategically planning every part of the trip. Not only does she curate the Dars/Riads that we stay at, but she also put a lot of thought into HOW to space out the trip to ensure everyone is comfortable. The duration we stayed in each location hit the sweet spot. Wafa planned it so we have enough time to explore as a group and also on our own. Everyone on the trip went from strangers to family in a matter of days. The people, the sights, the food! Everything was AMAZING! We saw tanneries, masjids, went on tours of towns, talked to locals, had some good laughs and learned about the history of the cities we were in. I would 10/10 recommend booking with Burgundy Roots! And I can’t wait to recruit more friends and family to join me next time on the next burgundy roots adventure.

Second trip with Burgundy Roots and Wafa did it AGAIN, alhamdulillah! It was wonderful from start to finish: The food, the views, the people, ma’shaAllah. Seeing videos of past Morocco retreats on IG made me start following Burgundy Roots. After being there in person with Wafa, Khadija and Mohammed, I am grateful I did. The trip had a good balance of tours and down time. Sunset & Maghrib prayer at Hassan II mosque, falling in love with the beautiful city of Chefchaouen, Jumm’ah at al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, consuming all the Moroccan Mint Tea, Tajine, Moroccan Tacos & fresh fruits/food along the way, experiencing a traditional Moroccan hammam and more. The beauty and friendliness of the Moroccan people cannot be overlooked and is what made this trip so beautiful. There was is a real sense of community in every city we visited. You're safe to wander and get lost because the people of Morocco are happy to help you find you way if and when you do. Add to that the energy of our group and the patience & care that Wafa, Khadija and Mohammed showed to every detail, saying I did not want the trip to end would be a huge understatement. Thanks again! I'm truly grateful for this memorable experience. Looking forward to my next vacation with Wafa and her amazing team, insha’Allah.

I'm eager to book future trips with Burgundy Roots after our incredible experience in Morocco! Wafaa and her team went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and our happiness was paramount. We received exceptional hospitality, care, and friendship. The trip was well worth the cost and expertly organized. We stayed in top-quality, mostly locally owned accommodations and enjoyed perfectly curated activities. I'm already looking forward to booking their Jamaica trip as soon as possible!

I traveled with Wafa to do the Umrah... That was such a good experience. This trip is definitely the best by far. She is so professional and a nice person. I definitely recommend it to everyone who wants an experience that could change their life in a good way, bring more love in their heart, a closer connection with God and the chance to meet extraordinary people.

I have been on two Burgundy roots trips so far and I must say, the itineraries are very well thought out. Wafa and her team pay attention to every detail and leave no stone unturned to ensure a truly unique, hands-off and stress-free experience for all attendees. You get to visit some hidden gems , spend time in nature, enjoy delicious food with amazing COMPANY and learn more about Islam while you’re at it. Such a beautiful, spiritually uplifting experience! BEST TRIP(S) EVER!
