Our first full day on the island will be focused on relaxing and unwinding. We’ll begin the day with an invigorating yoga class to help us ground into our bodies and get over any minor jet lag we may have from the time change. There’s a hot tub you can relax in as well, to connect more deeply to the earth and your body. The afternoon will be spent in massage treatments to further help us iron out any kinks from travel. 

After our morning practice, we’ll head to Kahaluu Bay (Hawaiians invented surfing here) for some surfing lessons! Whether you are brand new to surfing or a practiced hand, you’ll learn to hang ten…or at least hang seven. :-P The afternoon is yours to explore the town, do some souvenir shopping, or continue your surfing adventure! If waves are too big or the ocean conditions are not right to surf, we’ll know ahead of time and instead, we’ll explore the Aina (earth) with an epic 2.5-mile hike to Papakolea (Green Sands Beach).

The middle day of our stay will be spent exploring other parts of the island. We’ll leave early to drive to Hilo and see 2, that’s right 2 amazing waterfalls. Rainbow falls is our first waterfall ~ Photo op in the biggest Banyan tree you will ever see. We will explore downtown Hilo and have lunch at Pineapples grill. After lunch, we will drive to Akaka Falls and walk the paths. Then we are going to the Jungle Baby!  Off to Pahoa and hang out in some warm ponds, naturally heated by Goddess Pele herself. We’ll finish our evening at Uncle Robert’s Night Market, a local farmer’s market and artisan fair, before heading back home for the evening. 

After waking up our bodies with our morning movement practice, we’ll get more beach time, heading to Honaunau National Park to have an epic snorkel adventure at 2 step…so named because you take two steps into the ocean and you’re in some of the most amazing snorkeling territory on the island! We’ll have a beach picnic this day and just continue to lounge. 

The capstone of our island adventure is a boat tour of the island. As we sail down the Kona Coast, enjoy a tropical-style breakfast while you keep an eye out for Humpback Whales and Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins. After a morning of snorkeling adventures, we’ll have the afternoon to relax before a final farewell dinner. 

Enjoy one more movement practice as a group before packing up and heading to the airport. Be sure to book your flights no earlier than 1pm.
