About your trip

Heart Beat Day Retreat- Relax in the CA Sierra Foothills while learning acupressure, yin yoga, & drumming on Sat June 4th 10 am to 5 pm at Woolman Sierra Friends Center in Nevada City, CA.

KC Chapman of AcuYogini is your teacher and host at this retreat to journey into your radiant heart center.  KC teaches yoga and bodywork to empower people.  Her classes are accessible to everyone, with an emphasis on creating world peace through self compassion.

Your heart:

KC will teach self-care acupressure for the neck, shoulders, and arms to awaken the relationship between your heart and your hands.  KC will lead you to soften and let go of stress in yin yoga heart opening poses.

Drums:

Guest teacher Robin Patrick-Miernicki will hold a creative space for you to connect your heart and hands to the beat of her drums.  You are welcome to bring your own rhythm sticks and join the drum circle or borrow music instruments at the retreat.

Planet Earth:

Guest teacher Daniel Perkins will guide a nature walk around the Woolman campus to feel the ground beneath your feet, and connect the beat of your heart and the sound of the drums, with the rhythm of our planet earth.

Acupressure & Yin image

Heart opening class

KC will lead a class on integrating the healing arts of acupressure and yoga.  Learn self care acupressure to connect your hands to your heart.  Rest in heart centered yin yoga poses for self love and compassion.

This class will be based on the FIRE ELEMENT.  KC teaches through the lens of Chinese Medicine.  This is the theory that everything in nature is also within each of us, because we are a part of nature.

The FIRE ELEMENT is about connecting to your heart, your energy, your passions for life.  What wisdom from your heart lights ups your eyes?  How can your hands be a reflection of your heart?

Special attention will be given to offer you a creative space for expression of your heart and hands to set you up for drumming!
