About this trip

9:00am  - Guests are picked up from their hotel &  transfer to Santa Cruz  la Laguna, a very remote Mayan Kaqchikel  community in Lake Atitlan.  Here our luxury travel agency guides will take you on a  leisure walk,  photograph  traditional homes and the best views of Lake Atitlan and  volcanoes. By far this is the best hiking trail in Lake Atitlan, you will encounter with local mayan people along the trail, and our guides will also interact with them so you can get an authentic hiking experience in a place where the Mayan walked hundreds of year ago.

After the hike and exploration of two communities, you will have time to enjoy a drink or a meal at a great restaurant with the best location in Atitlan for some cool pictures and more.

Benjamin was a kind and knowledgeable guide! We learned a lot and also enjoyed a wonderful walk to start our morning. We saw many birds and also learned about local plants. We did not get breakfast but ended the tour in Jaibalito where there were many good brunch options.

Great tour.! Our guide Domingo was amazing! We had two senior citizens in our group for part of the day and he was so helpful and accommodating. Very knowledgeable…. Gave all kinds of interesting information and history about the area. He also got us reservations at great local spots even on during a holiday. The three teens in my group say Domingo is a”W”.

This was wonderful trip! We were a large work group on a company retreat and the tour company was incredibly organized and accommodating. Our guides were so kind and knowledgeable, and everyone agreed it was a wonderful and magical experience. The tour sort of has everything, not only do you get to experience the beautiful lake and scenery, you also get to learn about Mayan culture, history, crafts, food, etc. Which, is particularly nice if you don't have a ton of time in the country. We never felt rushed, and really enjoyed our tour. Would definitely recommend!
