Visit Quito’s historic center, including Plaza de la Independencia, La Compañía, and San Francisco Church. Enjoy panoramic views from El Panecillo. In the afternoon, explore the Middle of the World and the Inti-Ñan Museum. Continue to Mindo Cloud Forest.

Start early with a visit to the Cock-of-the-Rock lek to witness their stunning courtship display. Continue with a guided search for rare Antbirds, including the Giant, Chestnut, Moustached, Ochre, and Yellow species. Enjoy expert-led birding in the cloud forest before returning to Quito.

Depart from Quito toward Cayambe to taste the traditional bizcochos. Stop at Lake San Pablo for photos and refreshments. Visit the Peguche Waterfall and enjoy a short hike. Explore the famous Otavalo indigenous market, then head to Cotacachi, known for its leather goods. End the day with a visit to Cuicocha Lagoon, located inside a volcanic crater. Return to Quito.

Explore Cotopaxi National Park, starting with the in-situ museum. Visit Limpiopungo Lagoon and enjoy stunning views of the volcano’s reflection on clear days. Then, hike approximately 800 meters from the parking area to the volcano’s refuge near the glaciers. In the evening, spend the night in a charming local hacienda.

 Travel south to the stunning Quilotoa Lagoon, a turquoise crater lake known for its breathtaking views. Enjoy a short hike to admire the volcano and, for those with an advanced fitness level, an optional hike down to the lagoon’s shore. In the late afternoon, continue to Baños for an overnight stay.

Start at 9 am with hotel pickup and a 40-minute transfer to the Pastaza River. Receive safety gear and a briefing before embarking on a thrilling 2-3 hour rafting adventure (Level III-IV). Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, hike to the spectacular Pailón del Diablo waterfall, then continue to Riobamba for overnight.

Begin the day with a hike to the refuge of Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest volcano. Then visit the site of the famous “Devil’s Nose” train, where your guide will explain its history and route (train not currently in operation). If time permits, visit the Ingapirca Ruins (open Wednesday to Sunday), Ecuador’s most important pre-Columbian archaeological site. End the day in the city of Cuenca.

Discover Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, through a city tour of its main churches, monuments, and colonial streets. Enjoy panoramic views from the Turi viewpoint. In the afternoon, visit the nearby towns of Gualaceo and Chordeleg, known for their traditional crafts, especially gold and silver jewelry. Overnight in Cuenca.

Hike around the scenic Toreadora Lagoon in El Cajas National Park, home to hundreds of glacial lagoons and the unique “paper tree” forest. After the hike, travel to the coastal city of Guayaquil. Upon arrival, enjoy a short city tour of its main attractions. Overnight in Guayaquil.

 After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time for your flight. Private transfer to the airport.
