I never even considered traveling to Honduras before finding Slow Travel Co, but I'm so glad that I did! Our host was extremely easy to communicate with, and I felt supported every step of the way. I even pre-planned a solo excursion in town and she was able to help me coordinate transportation there and back from our villa. The activities, like ziplining, snorkeling, and ATVing were so much fun and things that I never thought of doing myself, but I had so much fun with them! Even when the weather presented issues, our host was extremely flexible and handled our group and individually scheduled activities like a pro. She made sure we were still able to participate in everything we were looking forward to. The villa was absolutely stunning, with a direct line to the beach and a friendly cat to keep us company :) We were also able to drop off donations to a local school in need as a group and that was probably my favorite part of the experience. Seeing how the team cares not only about traveler comfort and happiness, but also about the wellbeing of the location we visited was incredible. I also loved meeting the other ladies and getting to know them through our time in Honduras. As a solo traveler, it can be nerve-wracking to meet up with a bunch of new faces, but this trip made it so easy to make new friends and create a community where we were able to celebrate travel and island culture together. I highly recommend any trips offered by Slow Travel Co. and will definitely be traveling with them again in the (hopefully very near) future!

I just returned from the Honduras Slow Travel Retreat hosted by Slow Travel Co, and I truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. Our entire trip was spent on the beautiful island of Roatán, and it was the perfect setting for the kind of intentional, immersive travel Slow Travel Co does so well. Instead of feeling like we were just passing through, we were invited to really settle in, slow down, and connect — with the island and each other. Kayla took care of all the details of the trip so that we could relax and enjoy ourselves. The itinerary felt thoughtfully curated without being rigid. There was a balance of adventure and rest: mornings for (optional) group activities, afternoons soaking in the sun, reading, and relaxing, and evenings sharing incredible meals and conversations. Slow Travel Co created space for us to truly relax. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful. It was a wonderful trip from start to finish, and I would absolutely travel with them again.

This was an amazing trip. Met some wonderful people, great adventures and lovely accommodations. Definitely plan to take more trips with Slow Travel!
