Learn about mental health policies, education and training as well as the establishment of ongoing communication and collaboration. Focus on the cultural beliefs and practices that affect the presentation and treatment of mental health problems; how professional and public opinion about mental health disorders have evolved; the role of psychoanalytic theory and tradition; and what local cultural beliefs and practices affect the presentation and treatment of mental health problems in this region. This trip was inspiring for me to reconnect with my family roots. It was so nice to see friends from a previous trip. I enjoyed all the music making experiences, especially making the bodhran at the Irish Institute of Music. The country side in Ireland is beautiful. I enjoyed seeing all the houses, land, and sheep. The Gap of Dunloe was incredible. This 2 hour trip in a horse drawn cart seemed like a Star Wars movie set. I am especially grateful for the connections we all made during the trip, whether it was with our Guide, the local people and with my fellow travelers.

This was an amazing trip. The Group immediately gelled into a family-like entity. The itinerary was fast paced, filled with great information and hands on experiences. I felt we were able to see the "real" Ireland, and not the usual tourist sites. The accommodations were top notch. The food was outstanding. The only thing that would have made it better would have been another week. I would do it all over in a heartbeat!

This trip was wonderful! We immersed ourselves in the culture with music, dance, food, history, and many sites. The country was green, clean and the people very welcoming. Our guide was very good with making sure we saw and did not only the itinerary but added little surprises along the way to add to our experience. A very enjoyable trip.
