About this trip

We look forward to your participation in the Inaugural Illinois & Gateway Section PGA International Pro-Am taking place in England's Golf Coast from September 14 to 18, 2021.  Playing 3 Open Championship venues, teams will compete on golf's most hallowed championship links on England's Golf Coast.

 
Established in 1996, Fairways to Heaven Golf is comprised of a team of passionate individuals with more than 50 years of combined experience in the world of golf and hospitality.  We have a network of professionals and executive contacts within these industries to support us in the design and delivery of each unique and personalized experience.

Itinerary

September 14, 2021
Arrival Day & Practice Round

Guests will arrive into Manchester Airport and be met in the Arrivals Hall by a Fairways to Heaven Golf Travel rep.  You will then be transported to the Hard Days Night Hotel where you will check in for 4 nights.  Lunch will then be served at the Southport & Ainsdale clubhouse followed by a practice round in the early afternoon.

Two time Ryder Cup venue and UK Top 100 ranked course.  A testing championship course with first class facilities, S&A – as it is widely and affectionately known, was founded in 1906, part of the great golf boom around the turn of the 20th century. Inevitably the passing of so many years has brought about changes to the course, but the traditional feel of a championship links has been retained.


After golf, a welcome reception will be held in the evening at the Hard Days Night Hotel.

Dear wetravel, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share my reflections on the recent trip we booked with your company. There were several highlights that deserve commendation, as well as some aspects that, regrettably, fell short of expectations. Firstly, I would like to extend my appreciation to Neil, our second bus driver, whose expertise and kindness significantly enhanced our journey. Similarly, the hospitality provided by the hotels we stayed at was exemplary and contributed to the overall enjoyment of our trip. I cannot say enough good things about Neil and the staff at the hotels. However, there were areas in the pre-trip and during-trip support that were notably lacking. Communication was insufficient, as I found myself relying on second-hand information from fellow travelers rather than direct updates from your team. An itemized bill was never received, which made it difficult to track expenses and ensure that everything was accounted for. Moreover, some members of our travel group faced difficulties with check-ins and luggage management. Having a designated contact person for assistance would have greatly alleviated these issues. As it was, I often found myself in the position of mediating these challenges, which detracted from my experience. The expectation when booking with a professional travel agency is to have seamless support and guidance. Unfortunately, the lack of assistance we received was a source of disappointment. On a brighter note, the selection of golf courses was excellent, and again, Neil’s role was instrumental in making those experiences memorable. The golf courses were truly special. I believe that constructive feedback is vital for growth and enhancement of services, and I trust that our comments will be received in the spirit of ensuring even greater experiences for your future clients. Just returned from a week-long trip to Scotland. We had a great experience! The courses we played were outstanding and the accommodations were nice. We did three days in the Highlands and four days in St. Andrews. It was a long drive from Inverness to St. Andrews, especially after 36 holes but it was worth it. Our driver was great and he made sure we arrived everywhere on time. We had a couple of extra requests while we were in Scotland and Fairways to Heaven was able to deliver. It was very much appreciated. Can't wait to plan another trip.
