Meet the rural and indigenous communities, as well as local leaders in the Sacred Valley. For the next two days, this will be your new home! Participate in a meaningful service project and meet the indigenous girls at the girls' dormitory of Sacred Valley Project (SVP), the featured organization of Girls Opportunity Alliance of Obama Foundation. In the evenings, let's exchange stories with your fellow travelers and cohosts, or practice Spanish and Quechua with local families, and feast on delicious Peruvian cuisine.

Let the hike begin! In the coming 4-5 days, we will trek in the beautiful high mountains of Andes with professional guide on the Salkantay trail, passing through glorious Peruvian landscapes including Humantay Lagoon, Salkantay Pass, Wayracmachay, Waterfalls at Hidroelectrica, and more. At the end of the trek, we will reach the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site Machu Picchu. 

We made it to Machu Picchu, the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site! We can explore this sacred site by either Circuit 2 or 3 with a professional guide, sharing the ancient stories of Inca Empire. 

Enjoy this mix of the past and present as we explore Cusco’s 16th-century cathedrals, ancient Inca temples, and colonial streets--a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the local San Pedro market in the morning to taste the local fruits and vegetables. We will also connect with local social entrepreneurs/ NGO founders in Cusco, learning about their stories in lifting the communities and ending the trip with purpose and inspirations.
