Ingapirca + Villages

Embark on an unforgettable journey through Ecuador's stunning highlands, where breathtaking vistas await at every turn. Our tour takes you to the awe-inspiring Ingapirca, Ecuador's most significant archaeological site. The Inca fortress-temple is a testament to the incredible engineering skills and architectural prowess of the sun worshippers.

Our adventure continues to Gualaceo and Chordeleg villages, where we'll enjoy a traditional lunch at the Arhana Resort. Afterward, explore the town's rich history and charm during free time for shopping or soaking up the fascinating ambiance.

We'll also visit a local family's workshop, where you'll witness the intricate process of weaving shawls and ponchos on antique looms using dyes extracted from plants.

This full-day tour ends with a visit to Gualaceo's colonial plaza, where you can enjoy a coffee or traditional Rosero drink. It's the perfect way to experience the authentic flavors of Ecuador before making our way back to Cuenca

Book with confidence! I was a bit apprehensive as I was travelling alone and was not looking to be with a big group for one. My second worry was how good is this service… well now I say: “book with confidence!” The owner is a guide with a lot of experience and has built a company based on his experiences. His guides are hand picked and amazing! Each is knowledgeable, speak perfect English and caters to the needs of an individual. They can do big groups, but if you prefer to be just your family or friends they are very happy to do that for you. Just ask. I can not say enough good things about my guides. But will just mention that they basically understand that every one has different needs and wants different things and concentrate on you having the best experience. They hike with you and supervise every step of the way. Great job! My thanks go to Lincoln, Sebastian and the owner himself! I had an amazing time! I don’t usually write reviews, but this one is so deserved! Best regards Marzena

We used Wetravel for a transfer service to/from the Quito airport to the Quito Marriott. Jorge, the driver, was on time and very professional. Our transfer to the airport was at 3:30 am and he was there promptly! Would not hesitate to us them again

Everything was just as we hoped it would be. Both the land portion of the trip and the cruise were great.

We enjoyed this tour immensely. Great guide, Luis Chauvez is very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend him. Ingrapica is well worth visiting, Lunch was delicious and the Gualaceo tour a rather unique demonstration of traditional dying and weaving.. Finally, as two females who love the bling, Chordeleg was a dream,...just saying.

Cuenca Tours is THE BEST!! Javier took care of each detail for our group of four and every tour group he connected us with for the Galapagoes was exactly what we wanted, very responsive and professional. We decided a visit to Cuenca needed to be on our list, after hearing from our guide to the Chaurute Reserve, it was going to be our last day in country and Javier arranged it all within a matter of hours - even accomodating for one of our group who was taken ill the night before and could not come along. I have traveled with tour companies to Egypt, Italy, Zimbabwe and Peru, Cuenca Tours is at the top of my list of wonderful companies. Thank you Javier, Daniel, Simon, Christopher, and all the other drivers who assisted us along the way. Cheryl, Bruce, Mike and Bob

We had 2 days based from Cuenca to visit Ingapirca and Cajos park then we went to Quito via Chimbazaro with a night in Riobamba, on to Banos then on to Quilotoa and the next day Cotopaxi. Louis was our guide and driver and was engaging, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. He was the perfect ambassador for Ecuador and we really enjoyed his company and encouraging approach to all we saw and did along the way. The standard of accommodation was good and in Riobamba excellent. The last day Louis returned to Quenca and Lincoln was our guide for Cotopaxi, he was also excellent and made for a great day out. This bespoke tour was really fabulous and was made even more enjoyable by Louis being such a great travelling companion which gave us such a wonderful insight into the sights, culture and food of this wonderful country. Highly recommended!
