We begin our day with an early morning departure on our deluxe motorcoach. We will make our way to Baltimore, MD the birthplace of our National Anthem and our hotel just south of the city. This evening we will enjoy the Broadway Style Show THE WIZARD OF OZ - at Toby’s Dinner Theatre. Enjoy a fantastic meal followed by the show. We begin our day with an included breakfast at our hotel. We then board our coach as we make our way to our next stop, Maryland’s Capital City - Annapolis. Upon arrival we will get an overview of this famous port city with a guided tour along with the highlight of our day a guided walking tour of the US Naval Academy. This one and a half hour walking tour will have us experience some of the great highlights of life at the U.S. Naval Academy past and present. Our visit of this military institution includes sites such as Lejeune Hall, Bancroft Hall, Tecumseh Court, Herndon Monument, Main Chapel (when open) and Crypt of John Paul Jones. Lunch is on our own in downtown Annapolis before we continue south to the National Museum of the Marine Corps - A Monument to HONOR, COURAGE & COMMITMENT. The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a lasting tribute to U.S. Marines--past, present, and future. Situated on a 135-acre site adjacent to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and under the command of Marine Corps University, the Museum’s soaring design evokes the image of the flag-raisers of Iwo Jima and beckons visitors to this 120,000-square-foot structure. World-class interactive exhibits using the most innovative technology surround visitors with irreplaceable artifacts and immerse them in the sights and sounds of Marines in action. We will enjoy time to visit the museum at our own pace this afternoon. We then make our way into Colonial Williamsburg our home for the next two nights at the Springhill Suites in Williamsburg. Wake up this morning to our included breakfast at the hotel. Our day today is our Norfolk Harbor Cruise. This Cruise is Your Front Row Seat to the Naval Fleet! The two-hour Narrated Naval Base Cruise departs from, home of the Battleship Wisconsin. Cruise the smooth waters of the Elizabeth River and Hampton Roads Harbor. Cruise past Old Fort Norfolk, The Battleship Wisconsin, Downtown Norfolk and Portsmouth, BAE and Metro Machine Shipyards, Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Portsmouth Marine Terminal, Coast Guard Station Portsmouth, Craney Island Fuel Depot, and the highlight of the cruise – The Norfolk Naval Station – the world’s largest naval base. Naval Station Norfolk is home to destroyers, aircraft carriers, cruisers, amphibious assault ships, and submarines – just about every type of ship in the Navy’s armada. We then depart for Ocean City, MD. This evening we’ll check into our Beachfront Hotel and enjoy a relaxing and wonderful included dinner. This evening take a nice stroll out on the beach. - B, D
We will enjoy our included breakfast at the hotel. This morning we’re off to Assateague Island for a riding tour of the island and we’ll look to catch a glimpse of the wild horses. We will then make our way to quaint Berlin, MD where we’ll have lunch on our own before we start our journey back home. We will make a stop for dinner on our own enroute for everyone’s enjoyment and comfort. We arrive back home late this evening after an amazing and unforgettable journey together. - B
