This course is a one-day introduction to the fundamentals of ice climbing that includes the basics of equipment, technical skills, and climbing movement, as well as a hefty dose of the climbing itself.
Ice climbing is tool use, so it can be less intuitive than rock climbing. Luckily, proper technique can be easily learned and a few hours with an expert could literally save you years of trial and error. Get started with a good foundation in a highly informative day, but also super fun day.
This course is perfect for folks with rock climbing experience (indoors or outdoors), as well as those who have never been climbing before. Our guides are expert climbers and coaches that will be sure to choose appropriate and fun terrain for your first day out.
