Arrival in Milan
Your trip will begin in Milan where you’ll be warmly welcomed at the airport with a smile and a wave by both your private driver and Lux Travel tour host. Italy can be a difficult place navigate but with our private guided tours of Italy, you can relax knowing your Lux Travel host will take care of every little detail for you during your trip, ensuring you experience the very best of the soul of Italy entirely stress free.

The day of your arrival then is designed to allow you to recharge after your long flight. Your private driver will take you straight to your stylish boutique hotel in the heart of Milan. You can relax, perhaps get a spa treatment or take a dip in the pool, and get refreshed before a stroll through the centre of Milan to soak up the vibrant atmosphere followed dinner at one of our favourite local restaurants in all of Italy. Discover Milan
After a delicious Italian gourmet breakfast and as many cappuccinos or espressos as it takes to get your pulse racing and heart started we will be ready for an inspirational and fun filled day of stylish discovery in Milan, a city known for its fashion-forward ideas.

A local guide will arrive at your hotel to take you on a short walk to 'Piazza Duomo' the square at heart of the city where Milan's magnificent cathedral is located. The Duomo is in itself a design icon, being the world's third largest church and taking 600 years to construct. Your guide will bring the history of Milan and the cathedral alive and lead you up to the roof of the cathedral where you can get a sense of the city and your surroundings.

If your group is multi-generational or has several different interests, we can provide several optional activities and things to see and do around Milan. These include:

Shopping tour of Milan`s iconic fashion district

Guided walking tour of Milan's most interesting districts including the Navigli canals and the Brera fashion district

Foodie gourmet tour of Milan including a pasta making lesson

Guided visits to the new Milan Design Museum and Triennale Design museum

Private tour of the Alfa Romeo Factory Museum and showroom where we can test drive Alfa Romeo's newest models.

Lake Garda
After breakfast your private driver will pick you up and drive you to the charming village of Sirmione situated on a peninsula on the southern shore of Lake Garda, the largest of Italy's northern lakes.

Your Lux Travel guide will give you a tour of this pretty historic town and after lunch at a fabulous lakeside restaurant you can enjoy browsing the boutiques and taking a stroll along the waterfront promenade that stretches 4kms around the peninsula. One of the most beautiful things you can visit here is the Sirmione castle.

Surrounded by water, connected only to the shore by a bridge, Sirmione Castle dates back to the second half of the 1300s. Not only interesting for its history, on the contrary, Sirmione castle is very beautiful because you can go up to its highest tower and have a magnificent view of Lake Garda and Sirmione from above.

Weather permitting, we will take a private boat trip around the peninsula to enjoy views of the lake from the water with a glass of local wine in hand for those old enough!

After a fun day at Lake Garda, enjoy dinner in one of the towns' best classic Italian Trattoria.

Ski Cortina D'Ampezzo
Roughly 120 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes are waiting to be skied in the Cortina d’Ampezzo ski resort, known as the 'Queen of the Dolomites. The chicest resort in the spectacular Dolomites, several movies have been filmed here including James Bond. The winter Olympic games are due to be hosted here again in 2026.

No day is the same, with pristine valleys and terrains aplenty for your family to explore within the beautiful Dolomite Mountains. And nowhere else in the world can you access such a variety of lift-service skiing terrain covering so much ground – you may never ski the same run twice! The imposing peaks of the Dolomite Mountains provide extraordinary terrain for skiing and snowboarding. Boasting the number one ski resort in the world, and a past Winter Olympics site to boot, the Dolomites are a winter sports paradise for families – beginners and champions alike.

Venice
We like to start our Venice tours with a relaxing stroll in the city center, having fun getting lost in the magical alleys and canals of the city. We’ll stop to admire some of the city’s most divine churches and magnificent architectural monuments while your tour guide will entertain you and bring the history of the city to life recounting the fascinating stories of your surroundings. If you think the 2020`s are a crazy time to be alive you will be amazed at what the Venetians and their rulers got up to over the years!

In the afternoon meet your guide once again on the hotel’s dock for a deeper exploration of Venice by private boat through her canals. The charming details of the city open up to you as you float serenely by, filled with a sense of wonder marvelling at magnificent churches and palaces that line the Grand canal and the no less charming crumbling Venetian houses on the surprisingly peaceful maze of canals that run through all of Venice.

You will enjoy a delicious dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, a real Venetian treasure . Chef Giusesppe never fails to delight us!

Alessio arranged a wonderful itinerary for us in Siena! We were at the end of our trip to Italy and we wanted to spend some time in the Tuscan Countryside. We contacted Alessio who we had arranged a trip with in 2020 before Covid hit and we never got to go. He very kindly honoured our deposit from then and arranged our trip to Siena. From the private driver pick up at the Florence train station to the wine tasting trip to Castello Verrazzano, the private walking tour of Siena and of course the quiet, peaceful boutique hotel, it was all wonderful! The private car to the Florence airport was a lovely finish to our trip. We would highly recommend Alessio and his company for a well planned, hassle free trip to Italy.
