MAXIMUM IMPACT TRAVEL was created to foster international and domestic travel experiences. Founded by entrepreneur, playwright, author and philanthropist: Jay Cameron. Realizing that most of his life had been consumed by working domestically, a trip to Ghana changed his perspective. His experience transformed the way he saw traveling. As a result, he set out to encourage others to see the world through their own eyes, not only through the eyes of the media. You are invited to join Jay and his team on their adventures around the globe!

We had a great time, but the hotel accommodations were lacking. Met a great group of people from the diaspora. The native Ghanaians were so welcoming to us which made the whole trip worthwhile. We experienced which was sometimes heavy and humbling.

This was my first trip to Africa. I had no expectations other than I wanted to experience the culture, people, food, and history. The history and people is what made this trip for me. My interactions with the people of Ghana even still puts a big smile on my face. I wanted to give thanks to my ancestors and to honor them by returning to Africa, I chose Ghana or rather Ghana chose me. For the most part, it seemed to be a shopping trip for a lot of the people on the tour, not for me. I would have wanted to experience the music, food, museum, art gallery over shopping. The Lancaster every Sunday has a brunch with all food from Ghana, it would have been lovely to experience that, along with some traditional drinks. This is not a complaint, it is me discovering what I would desire for future trips. Also, if I am to walk where my enslaved ancestors walked and be informed of the conditions during their enslavement while in Africa, I appreciate only going to those establishments owned and operated by people of Ghana (Ghanaians).

We had a great time. Wonderful people, delicious food and comfortable accommodations. Thank you for a fantastic experience. My only complaint is visa application support and assistance should be provided. We had an epic challenge with the embassy during our visa application process and upon contacting Maximum Impact Travel, they were responsive but unable to provide any support or assistance with our visa issues.

This trip exceeded my expectations. We were well looked after by the local tour company from the moment we arrived at the Cairo airport. The accommodations were excellent and well-appointed. I was impressed by the warmth and hospitality we received everywhere we went. Our tour guide, Prince, was outstanding. A true gentleman and a scholar, he was exceptionally knowledgeable about the sites we visited and went above and beyond for our group. As a woman traveling solo, I felt very safe. I absolutely recommend Maximum Impact and plan on returning in 2026.

I had the absolute privilege of joining the Gateway Experience Ghana, July 2022. There's only one word to describe it - TRANSFORMATIVE. Jay has done the work and created a truly phenomenal travel experience. Because of his efforts, I connected with the ancestors, with Ghanaians, with Africans and with myself. I fell in love with Ghana and am now planning to move there. Jay and his local team - the incomparable Morris and the loyal Ernest - took care of every detail and provided a trip that was informative, enjoyable and safe. I don't think I could have that experience with any other tour operator. From now on, I will only travel with Jay and Maximum Impact when I visit any place in Africa. In fact, my group and I are planning to travel together again to Tanzania next year. It's just that deep. If you love Black people and Blackness, then love yourself by booking a trip with Maximum Impact!

They are thorough and very attentive as there are several steps to traveling to Ghana; the entire Maximum Impact team made the booking process seamless with EASY-to-follow instructions. All questions I had were answered promptly and professionally. And, oh my goodness, once you get to Ghana, you will be warmly received by the Maximum Impact team and treated like a V.I.P. Accommodations are clean and super-comfortable and offer all amenities. Don’t hesitate booking the trip if you’re traveling solo as I was. It’s a trip of a lifetime where you will meet wonderful traveling companions, tour the country with knowledgeable guides and wish that the trip was longer. I LOVED IT! A powerful and stirring cultural tour that also includes fun-loving activities. Outstanding job by Maximum Impact. I’m already planning my next tour with you.
