Join us for a 10-day adventure in Jamaica packed with learning, service, and fun! Explore vibrant Kingston, the stunning Blue Mountains, and rural Manchester while gaining hands-on experience in STEM, sustainability, and community service. Volunteer in schools, support local communities, learn about farming, enjoy beaches and waterfalls, and immerse yourself in Jamaican culture, music, and cuisine.

After registering, participants will receive:

  • Pre-departure orientation and preparation materials

  • Detailed itinerary and packing checklist

  • Volunteer project information

  • Cultural guidelines and travel tips

  • Airport pickup instructions from Norman Manley International Airport

Our team will provide full support to ensure participants are prepared for a safe and meaningful experience.

Program Investment

Program Cost: $999 USD per person (Dorm Room)

Includes:

  • Accommodation for 10 days / 9 nights

  • Airport pickup and drop-off

  • Daily breakfast and selected meals

  • Orientation and program support

Payment Plan Available:

  • $300 USD deposit required to secure your spot

  • Remaining balance paid in 3 installments

Important Notes

Minimum group size: 12 participants

  • Participants must arrive at Norman Manley International Airport on the program start date

  • Activities may change due to weather, safety, or community needs

  • Travel insurance is required

  • Participants must follow program guidelines and safety instructions

  • This program involves volunteer work, cultural activities, and moderate physical activity

Day 1 - Arrival, Welcome & Orientation

Arrival at Norman Manley International Airport, followed by a private transfer to Smokey Manor. Check in and settle into accommodations.

Activities:

  • Welcome dinner with authentic Jamaican cuisine featuring local flavors

  • Ice-breaker games and team-building exercises to get to know your group

  • Orientation on the service projects, safety, and community engagement

Day 2 - Volunteer at a Local School

Morning:

  • Volunteer at a local Kingston school, helping teachers with classroom activities, tutoring, or educational games

  • Participate in a cultural exchange, sharing stories, ideas, and knowledge with students

Evening:

  • Jamaican cooking class to learn traditional recipes, local spices, and cooking techniques

Reflection:

  • Group discussion on Jamaica’s history, slavery, and cultural influences

  • Explore the meaning of Jamaica’s motto: “Out of Many, One People”

Continue volunteering at a local Kingston school, helping teachers with classroom activities, tutoring, or educational games

Day 4 - Community Outreach Experience

Morning:

Travel to Manning’s Hill for a community tour. Visit homes, listen to powerful life stories, and share meaningful conversations.

  • Work alongside local leaders as you deliver care packages to families in need across Kingston’s hills and valleys.

  • Connect through meaningful conversations. This experience goes beyond giving supplies. It’s about compassion and the true joy of giving back.

  • Learn about life in Kingston’s hills and valleys

Evening:

  • Swim and relax at Smokey Manor

  • Cultural activities highlighting reggae music and dance, including fun movement exercises

Hellshire Beach

Day 5 - The Hellshire Beach Experience

Morning:

  • Late start with breakfast

  • Visit Hellshire Beach

Highlights:

  • Optional: Feast on famous Fish & Bammy (traditional cassava flatbread)

  • Meet the “Sugar Cane Man” and enjoy fresh sugar cane

  • Drink coconut water straight from the husk

  • Swim in crystal-clear waters and explore local craft shops

  • Immerse in the lively local beach culture

Blue Mountains

Day 6 - Journey to Holywell, Blue Mountains

Travel to Jamaica’s tropical rainforest in the Blue & John Crow Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Activities:

  • Learn about indigenous plants, wildlife, and wilderness survival skills

  • Hike and explore the Blue Mountains’ majestic landscapes, spanning multiple parishes with views of the North and South coasts

  • Evening storytelling and cultural games

Overnight: Holywell, Blue Mountains (Tents or Cabins)

Day 7 - Explore Holywell & Travel to Manchester

Morning:

  • Learn from experts about endemic plants and animals

  • Brainstorm ways to solve environmental challenges in the Blue Mountains community

  • Volunteer to help maintain walking and hiking trails for residents

Afternoon:

  • Depart Holywell and travel to Tan-Y-Bryn, Manchester.

  • Check in and settle into accommodations.

  • Orientation on the local farming community and agricultural experiences ahead

Day 8 - Farm Experience at Tan-Y-Bryn

Morning:

  • Meet local farmers and learn traditional and sustainable farming practices

  • Assist with farming tasks such as weeding, mulching, and planting

Afternoon:
Visit Mt. Olivet Boys Home for games, storytelling, or a mini talent show to foster creativity and connection.

Day 9 - YS Falls & Watershed Adventure

Morning:

  • Full-day excursion to YS Falls, a stunning seven-tiered waterfall set in lush gardens

  • Learn about watershed health, conservation, and the importance of protecting water sources

Evening:

  • Return to Tan-Y-Bryn for a farewell celebration dinner with Jamaican music and dance.
