About your trip

This is not your average Yoga retreat. It's not just a trip to Spain.

It is a gathering. A remembering. A return to yourself, to others, and to the simple joy of feeling held by place, people, and purpose.

It is a Journey with Heart: Discovering the Soul of Spain

October 18-28, 2026

Designed with extraordinary attention to detail, FLOW's boutique travel Yoga experience invites you into a warm circle where strangers become lifelong friends and moments become the happiest of memories. Through shared meals, ancient cities, and quiet coastal mornings, we create space for real human connection ~ unhurried, intentional, and deeply enriching.

From the regal pulse of Madrid to the timeless serenity of the Costa Brava, Spain becomes both our backdrop and our teacher.

Madrid: Art, History & the Rhythms of Life

We begin in Madrid, a city that lives loudly and loves deeply. Our first three days in Spain offer a home here in a refined boutique palace overlooking the emerald calm of Retiro Park, offering the perfect balance of exploration, elegance and ease.

Tasting Madrid: A Majestic Feast

We step into Madrid on foot, wandering historic neighborhoods on a private walking food tour that awakens all the senses. Guided by an expert local storyteller, we will sip Spanish spirits and savor traditional tapas at beloved neighborhood haunts while uncovering the anecdotes, poetry, and layered history that make Madrid so alive.

A Journey through Nature: Exploring The Green Heart of the City

In Retiro Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we slow down. Among gardens, monuments, and quiet lakes once reserved for royalty, we breathe, wander, and reconnect with nature in the middle of the city’s vibrant pulse.

Royal Grandeur & Timeless Beauty

Feel like royalty yourself as we tour the Royal Palace of Madrid, an awe-inspiring baroque masterpiece filled with works by Caravaggio, Velázquez, and Goya. Hailed as the largest palace in Western Europe, its sweeping rooms and manicured gardens invite reflection on history, beauty, and legacy.

Flamenco: Fire, Soul & Supper

One unforgettable evening unfolds in a 19th century palace where traditional Spanish cuisine meets an authentic flamenco performance for dinner and a show. Declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, flamenco is a multicultural folk art that expresses Spanish history, joy, resilience, and identity. This is not just an experience we watch... it is one we will feel.

A Taste of the Past: Day Tour of Toledo & Segovia

We journey beyond Madrid for a full-day immersion into two of Spain’s most storied cities.
In Toledo, winding streets reveal layers of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim heritage. In Segovia, we stand beneath the majestic Roman aqueduct and explore the fairytale Alcázar, one of Spain’s most iconic castles. The day ends with a soulful regional dinner before returning home to Madrid, full and inspired.

Costa Brava: Stillness, Sea & Sacred Simplicity

From the city, we retreat to nature as we arrive to our private hillside sanctuary in the Costa Brava, where time slows and the air smells of pine, salt, and sun-warmed earth. Our exclusive farmhouse estate is an 18th-century haven of peace: gardens, terraces, saltwater pool, and quiet corners designed for rest, intimacy, and a deep exhale. This is where Yoga softens, conversations linger, and silence becomes sacred medicine.

A Journey Through Time

We take a family trip through storybook villages where cobblestone streets and medieval walls whisper stories from the past. From the lighthouse of Llafranc to the coastal charm of Calella de Palafrugell, the castle of Begur, and the inland gems of Pals and Peratallada, this day is a love letter to slow living, history, and regional flavors.

Beauty in Barcelona

A day trip carries us to Barcelona, a city of creativity, imagination, and movement. A local private tour will lead us through the vibrant culture, art, architecture, and history, culminating in a guided visit to La Sagrada Família — Gaudí’s living masterpiece, still rising skyward more than 140 years after the first stone was laid. Five generations have watched it grow, and standing inside feels like stepping into a prayer made of light. A family dinner in Barcelona closes the day before we return to our quiet coastal refuge.

FLOW: A Day at Sea

One day is reserved for pure joy and flow.... A boat carries us along the Costa Brava coastline, inviting freedom, laughter, stillness, and the gentle rhythm of the Mediterranean. No agenda. Just presence, salt air, and shared joy.

A Return to Madrid's Rhythms

For our final night in Spain, we head back to the city. There will be time to explore Madrid on your own before we reconvene for our FLOW Family dinner. Our last Madrid stay offers an elegant boutique space that reflects the city’s timeless charm. With art-filled salons, garden courtyards, and rooms that feel like quiet sanctuaries, you will experience the majesty of a palace built in 1866 with modern conveniences and amenities.

This Is a Journey with Heart and Soul

Yoga here is not just practiced on the mat — it is lived in every experience and every breath.
In shared meals. In late-night conversations. In laughter, stillness, and the courage to be seen.

We come together as individuals.
We leave as family.

If you are longing for beauty, connection, and an experience crafted with the utmost care and soul ~ this is your call. Your journey awaits...

****************************************************************************************************

Please familiarize yourself with the trip's itinerary, terms and conditions, and do any personal research you feel is necessary before registering and paying your non-refundable deposit.

*The stuff legal likes us to say... Trip and property descriptions are believed to be true and accurate. Excursions and activities may differ slightly than shown but will be of comparable value and enjoyment. If an activity is cancelled or delayed due to weather or any reason beyond the Retreat Leaders' control, the Retreat Leaders and concierge teams will do their best to accommodate a different day and/or comparable activity for the same day.

Our Homes: Where We are Held

Every stay has been thoughtfully chosen not for luxury alone, but for feeling ~ for warmth, beauty, culture, and a genuine sense of being cared for. These are places with soul, where small details matter and comfort is quiet rather than showy. Over 10 nights, we will move through three quintessential Spain accommodations, each offering its own rhythm and atmosphere.

We begin in Madrid with a three night stay at Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII, a stylish deluxe boutique hotel opposite Retiro Park, Madrid's green space sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city. Situated in a former 19th century mansion, we are perfectly seated in an unparalleled location to explore the capital’s history, culture and most fascinating monuments by foot, with all of us accommodated together on an upper floor of the hotel for a more private and cohesive stay.

From the city, we journey north to the Costa Brava, where time seems to stretch long and the air feels lighter.

Our home base for six nights is Mas Pastora, an exclusive-use 18th century farmhouse tucked into nature, created for true disconnection from the outside world. This is where the noise fades and our peaceful oasis awaits.

Just steps from the lulling rhythms of the Mediterranean Sea, the subtle scent of nature is a soothing tonic for the nervous system and opens space to breathe. Sunlit terraces invite slow mornings and quiet moments. Everything here is intentional, from the way light moves through the rooms to the calm that settles in as the days come to a restful night's end.

The property hosts two buildings:

  1. The Anexo building hosts 16 modern rooms, all with a terrace overlooking the gardens, king beds (three rooms with twin beds), all the amenities and details for a perfect stay

  2. The Masia (farmhouse) is a traditional building from the Empordà. Respecting the characteristic local features, there are three enhanced rooms detailed with great charm. Note that some of the rooms require stairs for access to and inside the building.

Our time at Mas Pastora is not about doing more ~ it’s about remembering who and what truly matters: Presence, simplicity, and peace. This journey is an experience of place, yes; but even more, it’s an experience of coming home to yourself.

For our final night in Spain, we head back to Madrid for a night at Hotel Orfila, an elegant boutique space that reflects the city’s timeless charm. With art-filled salons, garden courtyards, and rooms that feel like quiet sanctuaries, you will experience a palace built in 1866 with modern conveniences and amenities. Please note: Due to the architectural characteristics, the hotel does not currently have adequate facilities for people with reduced mobility.

Our package options offer a variety of ways to journey with us. Each package offers the same soulful journey through Spain with shared experiences, Yoga, cultural immersions, and meaningful connection. What changes is how much space, privacy, and intimacy you desire along the way. There is no “right” choice; only the one that feels aligned for you. Please familiarize yourself with the properties and room options when choosing your package.

No matter which path you choose, we walk this journey together.
We arrive as individuals.
We leave as family. FLOW Family.

How We FLOW: Trip Terms & Conditions

Journey with Heart: Discovering the Soul of Spain

October 18-28, 2026

Please take the time to read and understand the Terms & Conditions detailed below prior to booking your trip. If you decide to book the trip, your electronic signature and deposit are consent and agreement to these Terms & Conditions. You will be required to agree to these terms in order to complete your booking.

1. Your Payment or Deposit is Your Contract

When you register for the Journey with Heart: Discovering the Soul of Spain via either payment in full or a $1000 per person non-refundable deposit, you will be deemed to have agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Your booking deposit, together with (a) these Terms & Conditions and (b) the trip details regarding the Journey with Heart: Discovering the Soul of Spain listed on the We Travel website will constitute a legally binding contract between you and FLOW Yoga Retreats, LP, Melissa Katz and Tra Kirkpatrick (herein collectively referred to as Retreat Leaders). (Note: If you book a trip for multiple people traveling together, then all travelers in that booking will be deemed to have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions, and to be parties to this Agreement.)

2. Payment

In order to confirm your booking with us, you may choose to either pay in full (with $1000 per person of your payment non-refundable as outlined in Section 8 Cancellation by Traveler), or pay via a payment plan, starting with a $1000 non-refundable per person deposit toward the total price of your trip.

3. Payment Plan

If you select a payment plan when you register for the trip, the balance due (package price minus the first payment of a $1000 per person non-refundable deposit) will be billed in three (3) remaining equal installments. The payment schedule shall be as follows:

 1st payment: due by March 1, 2026

 2nd payment: due by May 1, 2026

final payment: due by July 1 , 2026

If you choose to pay for your retreat package via a payment plan and book the trip between any of the payment dates above, your down payment (deposit) will be $1000 PLUS any installments for payment dates that have occurred before your registration date. (For example, if you book on March 3, 2026, your deposit will be $1000 plus the 1st installment amount). You must pay remaining balance based on payment schedule above.

If any payment is not paid on or before the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as canceled, especially if you have not proactively communicated about your payment needs. See #8 below regarding Cancellation by Traveler. All bookings must be paid in full by July 1, 2026.

4. Passport, Visas and Other Travel Documents

For trips outside the U.S., you must carry a valid passport. Spain is a Schengen area. Schengen regulations require that U.S. passport holders have at least three (3) months validity remaining on their passport after their anticipated date of departure from the Schengen Area. Travellers from other Schengen countries do not have to show their identity card or passport when traveling to or from Spain if coming from countries belonging to the Schengen area. However, we advise you to bring your passport or identity card with you nevertheless, in case you need to prove your identity. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of all such required travel documents for your trip. The Retreat Leaders are not responsible if you are refused entry to Spain or any layover country during travel because you lack the correct travel documents.

5. Requests for Roommate (Double-Occupancy)

If you are traveling solo and register for a “Double-Occupancy” roommate plan rather than “Single/Private Occupancy” the Retreat Leaders will make efforts to match you with a roommate in order to accommodate the request for the lower “Double-Occupancy” (versus “Single-Occupancy”) rate. However, if Retreat Leaders are unable to match you with a roommate as of the due date for final payment, you will be responsible for the difference between the Double and Single occupancy rate. Any amounts due must be paid by the final payment due date. We encourage solo travelers who want a roommate to recruit a friend, family member or fellow yogi to attend as the roommate as the Retreat Leaders cannot and will not guarantee a registration to match your needs.

9. Cancellation by Retreat Leaders

Retreat Leaders reserve the right to cancel trip at any time if, due to natural disaster, political instability or other disruptions and/or events beyond leaders’ control (“force majeure events”), the operating of the trip would be unsafe or otherwise unviable. However, as part of this Agreement you acknowledge and accept that circumstances may arise which result in changes to the listed itinerary. These changes may include, without limitation, delays and/or partial or complete changes in the following: the itinerary, activities and excursions, frequency of yoga sessions, modes or quality of transportation, etc. You understand and agree that: (i) the Retreat Leaders may make last-minute or on-site decisions to address changed circumstances, (ii) Retreat Leaders do not guarantee conformity with any itineraries that have been published or furnished to you or any other participants, and (iii) Retreat Leaders reserve the right to change the itinerary with or without prior notice to you. All yoga and excursions/activities/tours are optional for all participants. However, there are no discounts or refunds for non-participation in any, part, or all of the planned events.

11. Travel Insurance

The purchase of travel insurance is highly recommended for all participants. While the coverage provided by travel insurance varies based on the policy you purchase, as a general rule, this type of insurance may provide coverage for a variety of losses which a traveler may incur relating to a booking, including losses relating to trip cancellation, illness, injury, theft, lost or damaged property, etc.

Be aware that each client is 100% responsible for any losses, penalties, fees or other financial consequences arising out of any booking or trip, or the cancellation or interruption of any booking or trip (including, by way of example, costs related to airline tickets and fees, passport fees, visa fees, medical expenses, etc.). For all of these reasons, purchase travel insurance promptly following your booking.

12. Peace Agreement

Retreat leaders reserve the right to immediately terminate attendee’s participation in the retreat and to ask retreat attendee to leave the premises if the retreat attendee disturbs the peace and comfort of other retreat attendees, is overly intoxicated, smokes on the resort property, uses illegal drugs on the resort property, and/or is disrespectful to resort personnel.

14. Immunizations and Travel Advisories/Warnings

Each participant assumes full responsibility for verifying any requirements relating to and/or obtaining any immunizations which may be necessary or desirable for travel in Spain. These risks and hazards may include, without limitation, delays, injury, illness, death or other unanticipated events, and may be caused by force majeure events, the negligence of other persons (including third party operators), the intentional and/or criminal conduct of others or other circumstances. You release the Retreat Leaders from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, expenses, damages, demands, actions, causes of action, lawsuits or sums of money of any kind arising out of, by reason of, resulting from and/or related to any trip you may book and/or participate in; and you understand and acknowledge that you are fully responsible for and expressly assume any and all risks, whether known or unknown, in connection therewith.

Any arbitration award shall be rendered in writing and may be entered and shall be fully enforceable as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. The parties expressly waive their right to trial, including trial by jury. Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs.
