One of the world's most astounding wildlife mysteries occurs each year in the forested Central Highlands of Mexico, featuring the only migrating butterfly "The Monarch".  On foot and horseback, enter the remote fir tree forests where millions of monarchs roost and breed each winter. We will be arriving just before their 2025 new journey, which allows us to witness their beautiful awakening energy. After spending a couple of days with amazing phenomenon we will head to Valle de Bravo to spend a couple of days around  Lake Avándaro in our private villa to enjoy the pool delicious meals by on site cooks as well as some adventure and shopping before heading back to  Historic Mexico City.

> We are in the Mountains although we are in Mexico it will be chilly. Best to wear a sweater or light jacket over your T-shirt as it may warm up enough for you to just be in your T-shirt by mid day.

> If you have binoculars bring them (If not there will be a few to share with group) 

> Bring face covering like bandana, when we are on guided horses there will be dust from horse in front of you.

Airport Transfers will be arranged and we will gather for a welcome dinner at 7pm. As we eat, drink and get to know each other we will go over the Itinerary for the entire trip. 

If you arrive earlier than your 3pm check in and your room is not ready the hotel will gladly hold your bags until your room is available. 

We will meet for breakfast at 8am and depart at 9am to head to "El Rosario" Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. We will arrive at Sanctuary between 12-1pm. We can have quick bite at the sanctuary before heading up the mountain via horseback. We will spend the afternoon with the butterflies before heading to or hotel for some relaxation and refreshing before dinner.

We will head to the sanctuary after breakfast around 10am, while many butterflies will still be sleeping, this is the perfect opportunity to possibly catch some cascades and Kaleidoscopes of butterflies as they awaken for their day.  This is the only place in the world you can hear the sound of their wings as they create a waterfall effect from the fir trees branches. 

After spending the morning with these magnificent creates we will head to our Villa in Valle de Bravo for dinner.

After breakfast cooked by onsite staff those who reserved an ATV will take a short walk to ATV's for 11am arrival, ATV's will be ridden through town of Valle de Bravo to Cascada Velo de Novia, we will take a short hike to the falls then proceed back to ATV's to conclude our tour. After the ATV tour we can grab a quick bite and do some local shopping, before heading back to villa to relax at the pool and have our on site staff cook us dinner. 

There is a single passenger or two passenger option for ATV's. If you are not going to the ATV's please feel free to walk into town for plenty of local artisan shops or you can relax at the Villa.

After Breakfast at our Villa we will head to Historic Mexico City for Hotel Check in, you will then have time to explore historic area, grab a bite and we will meet for farewell dinner at 8pm.
