This was my first knitting trip and I really enjoyed it. There was the right balance between knitting and excursions to get to see local sights. We had plenty of time to go and explore things on our own and our guide was terrific. Loved visiting smaller towns along the way from Barcelona to Madrid and visiting the working woolen mill was a personal highlight. Met some delightful new friends and exposed me to a taste of Spain. Can't wait to go and see more of this beautiful, vibrant county.
What fun!! The tour was well-designed and well-executed. Good accommodations, great food, a terrific itinerary and congenial travel companions with shared interests. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
As usual the trip to Spain was a very nice balance between planned activities and time to explore or relax at your own pace. MJ is always good a making sure everyone is getting the experience that they want. The cooking class on the last night was especially fun....everyone walked out of that event with smiles on their faces!
The trip was wonderful! The variety of opportunities along with the option to do one’s own thing was fabulous, and almost everyone in the group was kind and flexible, as one should be when traveling in a group in a foreign country. I prefer smaller groups, especially when there are many items and locations on the itinerary, and the train can sometimes be a more expedient option than a bus for long distances (which would be easier in a smaller group). Barcelona was so beautiful, Madrid was great fun, and the Wool Dreamers mill was fascinating. Our guide, Nicola, was knowledgeable and so patient and kind. Thank you, MJ, for a great experience!
What a great trip! It's not often that you can travel a country where you don't speak the language so easily. There were some cultural blips along the way but those were handled so well by MJ and our guide Nicola, we barely felt them. The only thing I would change is to make Barcelona Knits a 1-day for me and spend that time exploring more Gaudi instead, and possibly a shorter stop in Lleida if possible. It was so much fun and SO much good fiber and food!
