Join us for an offshore sailing flotilla to Kodiak, Alaska!

Ideal for sailors looking to experience more advanced cruising and passage-making.

As a flotilla of 3+ boats, we will cruise along the Alaskan coastline amongst the wildlife and stunning scenery, tucking into fjords to view glaciers and exploring ashore along the way. Several nights will be at anchor, and a few nights we will sail through the night holding a watch schedule. The exact itinerary will vary based on interests of students/guests aboard each boat, but the flotilla will follow a similar path to or from Kodiak. Make it a learning vacation and get ASA certified! If you're experienced, you can join the flotilla as a bareboat charter. Check out our options

June 2 - 8, 2026 Seward to Kodiak

June 9 - 15, 2026 Kodiak to Seward.

The Fleet:

Our vessels Madrona & Merlot, plus our partner boat Morning Mist are all 35' Beneteaus, each with two cabins, plus two couches, and one head.

Additionally, boat owners and members of our local yacht clubs - Kenai Fjords Yacht Club and William H Seward Yacht Club - will be joining the flotilla for the trip down to Kodiak. Most will likely return to Seward quicker, in one week.

Meals included

Provisions are included in the price of your charter (unless you are bareboat chartering). Meals will be prepared and shared family-style. Cooking duties will be shared amongst all participants and captain. We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies--please ensure you list them during booking.

Rates are listed to ensure you build your package with add-ons as you desire. Please select the package and ensure the dates you're selecting are correct. Madrona is the only boat available for bareboat chartering. All 3 boats can be group or private classes, or can be booked as a private multi-day charter without certifications.

Add-ons - When prompted, please select the correct add-ons to ensure we reserve your spot for the trip you're interested in.

• Private charter - If you do not want other guests or students (besides the captain/instructor) added to your boat, there is an additional $500 fee to book the boat.

ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising

This is the perfect opportunity to take your ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising! For sailors looking to take on more challenging conditions by learning the advanced techniques and seamanship required to navigate coastal waters confidently, day or night, in all weather. Whether you’re dreaming of longer passages or exploring more remote destinations, this course gives you the experience and knowledge to handle your boat like a seasoned skipper in various demanding scenarios.

Airport info

This is a one-way trip, whether you are sailing Seward to Kodiak or Kodiak to Seward. Guests are responsible for their own travel to/from Kodiak (airport code ADQ) and Anchorage (ANC) airports and any additional accommodations required outside of the dates listed for your trip. We will arrive in Kodiak at St. Paul Harbor, near the airport and start from there on our return trip. Alaska Airlines has multiple direct flights a day between Anchorage and Kodiak.

How to get to Seward:

The closest airport is Anchorage International Airport.

• Drive: 2 - 2.5 hour drive from Anchorage

• Train: the Alaska Railroad arrives daily in Seward at 11:30am and leaves at 6:00pm.

• Shuttle: Red Eye Rides has several trips a day, as well as to/from other convenient locations.

-CANCELLATION POLICY-

Full refunds are only available for trip cancellations with 90 days notice.  

Under 90 days, the deposit amount of 50% will be nonrefundable. 

Under 45 days, no refund is provided. We are happy to apply your payment towards a future sailing adventure with us. We will do our best to rebook you if available.
