From the cherry stories along the railroad stations of Bhamdoun,  Dahr el Baydar & Rayak, to the wineries along the way, get to meet locals (some of them might surprise you with their Ecuadorian origins;) ), hear their stories, taste and enjoy !

And then, take a step into time and discover Heliopolis, the city of the Sun : Beyond the 3 roman temples, its history goes back to pre-Roman times. Whether you love old stones or get easily bored with them, we can promise you that this site is like no other. 

Suggested program - in no particular order

• Breakfast in Chtoura with tasting of dairy products

• Visit of Baalbek’s roman temples 

• Visit of the Roman quarries

• Taste the local sfiha baalbekiyeh

•  Lunch with local specialties 

•  Visit of old train stations

•  Visit of 2 or 3 wineries (depending on time) and taste different wines and spirits

The beating heart of the country, this is a place where the last 100 years have seen non stop action! From its modern birth to the 2020 blast, learn everything about Beirut. 

Beirut is the Capital of Lebanon and its biggest city. It is the seat of the country’s government and plays a pivotal role in its economy. 

It is located almost exactly in the middle of Lebanon’s Mediterranean coast on a peninsula that was once divided into two islands in the delta of the Beirut River and that have silted over time. 

But don’t be fooled, in spite of the profound traces the war left on the city, and of the political unrest, Beirut it is the center of the country’s cultural life, activities, and night life, making it a highly attractive tourist destination with a huge array of accommodations, restaurants, pubs, bars, activities, theaters, etc…

If you are willing to enjoy the many pleasures it has to offer, no questions asked, then you are in for a real treat. 

In Beirut, you will find everything you are looking for, from the over-the-top-fancy to the cheapest of the cheap, from the not-permitted-but-totally-happening to the undergroundest-of-them-all, from the most traditional to the most infamous, from the dream of a glorious past to a modern day city… There, you will find a maelstrom of religious diversity, of different lifestyles, of world-wide cuisines, of eclectic and over-the-top bars and pubs… No matter your fancy, Beirut will satisfy it.

We will try to give you a sense of all of the above - in just 4 hours. Challenge accepted! 

Suggested program

•  Start with visiting downtown Beirut (Martyr Square, old Mosques, St. Georges 

   Cathedral with the museum, hidden roman baths)

•  Visit the Urban Arts of the Egg

•. Take a stroll in Zokak el Blat (from old palaces to houses and streets filled with    

   stories, taste Ishkhanian Delights (Meat Pies or Mushrooms veggies), and 

   finish at Ashghalouna with a tasting of their special Fatayer (spinach stuffed dough)

•  Please note that for 1 less person than the agreed minimum the price of the 

    outing will increase.

•. In case of Force Majeure events, we do not refund any payments already made.

•. Some changes to the program can occur for reasons beyond our control.

•. For any cancellation 29 to 15 days prior, 50% of the payment is to be made.

•. For any cancellation 14 to 7 days prior, 75% of the payment is to be made.

•. For any cancellation 6 days prior up to the same day, 100% of the payment is to be made.

•. For no-shows of any person on the days of the tours, 100% of the charge is applied 

   and no refunds will take place.

•. Please note that tips are appreciated for guides and restaurants. At your 

   discretion of course, but as a general rule, USD 5 per person / per day for each 

   guide/driver is fair.

•. In case of Tourleb or any of it designated members showing up on the day of the 

   scheduled experience and the tour must and can be postponed for ANY given 

   reason (illness, unexpected work, etc…), there will be a minimum of 100$ and up to 

   400$ (unless it’s a big group and Lunch cannot be cancelled, in which case the 

   fees might be higher) fee to compensate the missed working day of the guide 

   and the gas and/or transport for pick up.

•  In case anyone forgot anything in the car or the bus, it is your responsibility to 

   come and get it where the car/bus is located or to pay for a taxi to have the  

   forgotten item sent to you.

•. It is the person in charge’s responsibility to share the cancellation fees policy with 

   their guests.

•. If the person in charge does not wish to trouble their guest with the cancellation 

   policy, or in case the guests “Are not aware of said policy”, then any cancellation 

   or no-show will be covered by our main contact, the client, the person in charge.

•. We guarantee 90% of your security, we have local contacts everywhere and will 

   always use extra caution wherever we go. However, should any incident happen 

   during the tour, Tourleb is not held accountable or responsible. Each traveler 

   should have a mandatory travel insurance.

•. Should anything happen however, Tourleb will of course put all its resources at 

   your disposal, at an extra cost to be determined later.

•. Please note that we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to anyone yelling, 

   talking down to, or harassing our team. If there is a problem on any given day, 

   please feel free to contact Tourleb to discuss it in a civil manner. Should yelling 

   happen, no matter the reason, the tours will be immediately suspended and no 

   refund will take place.

INSURANCE

We are excited to have you as a valued traveler in the upcoming experience organized by Tourleb. To ensure your safety and well-being during your visit, we require all travelers to have adequate travel insurance coverage. This letter serves as a formal notification and a requirement for you to obtain suitable travel insurance before the start of the tour.

Travel insurance provides essential protection and coverage for unexpected events, including but not limited to trip cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, and lost or damaged belongings. 

While we take every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable travel experience, some circumstances are beyond our control, and travel insurance can provide you with peace of mind and financial security in case of unforeseen incidents.

Thus, we ask you to share your emergency contact with us, and to provide proof of valid travel insurance coverage to our office no later than 24 hours prior to your arrival date or before you start your visits with Tourleb. Your insurance policy should cover the entire duration of the tour. In case you don’t have an insurance or don’t want to advise your insurer of your visit, please notify us as we can provide you with one at an extra cost. And in case this is not an option, please take note that costs of and from any and every incident, accident, injury or death, will be covered by you.

Please ensure that your insurer is aware of your itinerary and can agree to cover the activities being undertaken. Also, ensure that your travel insurance policy includes, at a minimum, the following coverage:

1. Emergency medical coverage, including evacuation and repatriation.

2. Trip cancellation and interruption coverage.

3. Coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

4. Coverage for travel delays or missed connections.

You may upgrade your insurance to include other options.
 

You are responsible for understanding the terms and conditions of your chosen insurance policy, including any deductibles, coverage limits, and exclusions. It is your responsibility to verify that your insurance coverage meets the requirements outlined in this letter.

By participating in our trips, you acknowledge and accept that Tourleb and its staff are not responsible for any costs, liabilities, or expenses incurred due to events not covered by your travel insurance policy.

OFF-THE-BEATEN PATH VISITS AND CODE OF CONDUCT

In case you have requested an off-the-beaten track experience that includes visits to sensitive areas and / or borders, it is essential that you understand that even though TOURLEB will advise all relevant authorities and work on getting you necessary permits for the visits, these permits might be denied in which case the visit will be replaced by another program.

In case the permits are given and you are still questioned and/or arrested, Tourleb is in no way responsible and/or liable. It is a risk you are accepting to take. It is a rare case but CAN happen in some instances. If this should happen, Tourleb will do its utmost to help you clear things, and will gladly liaise with your emergency contact and your embassy/consulate. However, it is important to understand that if this should happen, Tourleb team is in absolutely no way responsible for you.

In case of a relapse due to a previous addiction (including but not limited to alcohol, drugs…) or decision of checking out of a hotel, an experience, disappearing without prior notice, or without paying your dues, we will send a bill to your emergency contact in order for all and any unpaid bills to be paid. Also please note that Tourleb and its staff members are in no way to be held responsible for any relapse on your part.

Please note that we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to anyone yelling, talking down to, or harassing our team. If there is a problem on any given day, please feel free to contact Tourleb to discuss it in a civil manner. Should yelling or harassment happen, no matter the reason, the tours will be immediately suspended and no refund will take place. Additionally, you will be charged the full day if this should happen, as well as 50% of the price of the remaining experiences booked.

Please note that any request to spend the day alone for a program tailored by Tourleb is not receivable. You must be accompanied by a member of our team, a local or national guide or a story-teller during your visits, walks and experiences, specially and even more so in non-classical programs. Should anything happen during, before or after said visits, Tourleb will not be held responsible or liable. 

Tourleb will charge you or your emergency contact any extra cost for (1) all and any work and distress caused by a relapse on your behalf, disappearance, refusal to cover your bills and/or answering your phone during your scheduled time of visit; (2) in case of any aggression, harassment (including but not limited to verbal, sexual, physical abuse), (3) or any injury sustained directly or indirectly because of you or your behavior towards any of our staff members.
