Meet The Ceremony Team & Shaman

Jhoselyn Thomas is a Licensed Registered Nurse with over 19 years of experience,  Curandera with 12 years of experience, a Sacred Sexuality Guide, Sexual health advocate and Certified Tantra Practitioner. She has training with the indigenous Shuar culture of her native land of Ecuador, as plant medicine retreat facilitator, and intuitive healer. Having worked with clients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds in both Spanish and English, she finds joy in sharing her medical and holistic knowledge about healthy living, personal healing, and leading a spiritually and emotionally balanced life by working with the ancient, sacred knowledge passed down to her from her South American Indigenous lineage while also incorporating her many years of western medicinal training.

Jhoselyn was introduced to the plant medicine that many traditions call 'Grandmother' in Ecuador in 2016 while in search of her own healing from breast cancer. During her experience she received a deeper calling to bring people in need of healing to this very place to receive the medicine that helped her return to health. Since 2017, Jhoselyn has shared the experience of Ecuador’s beautiful medicine with many and in 2020, she was presented with the opportunity to take ownership of the retreat center in Ecuador and fulfill a long-standing dream of bringing this sacred medicine and her healing gifts to even more people, especially those belonging to the BIPOC and Queer community.

She gives gratitude to Mother and is thankful for the opportunity given to her by her faith in this Medicine to bring spiritual healing to those who seek it. As a mother, she understands the importance of healing as a family unit, in community with one another, and looks forward to sharing more of her gifts in this journey of LIFE.

Courtney “Gaddy” is  part of this multi-talented healing team. As an intuitive and visionary she brings both logic and Spirit to our Amazing group.

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD. Gaddy has spent her life in service to others. Brought up in a Christian home with a very strong faith in the powers of Good, she discovered and excelled in her love of music as medicine. A singer, song writer, producer and director of music, Courtney has experienced music as an integral part of her life and knows firsthand the power it has to heal many. Although she has left “the church”, the root of what Christ-like living is has always been at the core of her personal philosophy for life.

A crowd influencer, Gaddy has run many campaigns to help people in her community, and across the United States who are most in need. From back to school fundraisers, to providing funds for domestic abuse victims, to making sure children in schools had a warm lunch to eat, she continues to make waves of change and influence others with the motto, “Be who you needed as a child.” She is also a wedding officiant, and some of her most fun impactful callings has been presiding over the marriages and unions of others.

In her career  she has devoted herself to always learning and excelling in the field of Project Managing. Her ability to see beyond the present has been an integral part to developing this retreat center as one that is sure to change the lives of all that take a journey with us.

As a Spiritual Leader she has helped many in their time of shadow work, and although plant medicine is a new arena to her, her recent experiences with these sacred plants has dramatically shifted many of her personal obstacles.

Tsentsek is a traditional Uwishin Ayumpum  with 50 years of experience. He began his training in his teens and has practiced traditional medicine independently since he was 22 years old. His training is a combination of traditional learning from his direct lineage of ancestors, as well as participating in many convocations of indigenous practices all around Ecuador.  Tsentsek has a long family tradition of indigenous medicine and was called to his profession by lineage. His work includes working with the ancestral medicines of his lineage and training, spiritual and cosmic cleanses, and a devotion to Medicine and Spiritual work.   Tsentsek lives in Puyo, Ecuador and has been mentoring Jhoselyn since 2017. He has a love for Medicine, his People, Nature and delicious pears.
