During afternoon instruction sessions, you will learn how to:
· Inspire students by connecting to, and teaching from, your own heart’s wisdom.
· Be emotionally intelligent and present with students by observing and empathizing with their unique needs.
· Create and teach a series of asana poses that make up a fabulous, authentic class for students.
· Effectively sequence for, and safely adjust, all levels of students - from beginner to advanced practitioner.
· Incorporate “themes” that help students integrate their experience in class into their daily life.
· Learn how to cue and instruct so your students stay present in their practice.
· Feel confident working with common conditions and injuries.
· Create a supportive, caring, and healing environment in your classes.
To help you achieve these objectives, I employ a variety of teaching techniques, including: demonstration and practice, group processes, modeling effective teaching skills, practice time for teaching and adjusting students, and compassionate and honest feedback.
Course content also includes sequencing, hands-on assists, demonstration techniques, yoga philosophy and history, ethics, and yoga anatomy. The yoga style is vinyasa flow.
