Discover and explore beautiful Ireland on this holiday adventure that includes excursions, fitness, wellness, and farm-to-table food, all in an idyllic countryside setting.
We will meet in the cultural center of Ireland-Dublin—founded as a Viking settlement and famous for its literary legacy, museums, cathedrals, pub scene and warm and witty residents.
We will have a welcome dinner at a classic Irish pub and a one-night stay at the 4-star Herbert Park Hotel in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin. We will then travel together as a group by bus for a 5-night stay at the award-winning Creacon Wellness Retreat Center nestled in an emerald green enclave in Co. Wexford, southeastern Ireland.
If you would like to arrive earlier in Dublin to explore the city on your own, see our itinerary section.
May is a lovely time to visit and explore Ireland. Mark and I were here last May and it was simply wonderful. It's right before the tourist season begins in June so it won't be too crowded.
We visited the Creacon Wellness Retreat Center and it was magical. We were totally blown away with the food and the facilities and we are looking forward to hosting our retreat here.
The convenience of having bus transport to Creacon and to the places we will visit on our excursions allows you to see beautiful, verdant Ireland without the stress of driving and navigating ...(driving on the other side of the road and having the driver's seat on the other side of the car can be very challenging!)
Exploring new places while meeting and making new friends, make the trip extra special and enjoyable.
It's a simple direct flight to Dublin and airfares are very reasonable in the off-season.
We have built a small community of travelers who enjoy fitness, great food and exploring new places.
We are always pleased to meet and have new people in the group. All are welcome—men, women and families.
Dublin has a variety of experiences to choose from, including a visit to Trinity College and its famous Old Library and Book of Kells Experience.
Or for a bit of medieval history, visit the old Dublin Castle, the famous St. Patrick's Cathedral, and the fascinating Dubliner (Viking) museum.
And most won't want to miss sampling some iconic Irish beer or whiskey at the famous Guinness Distillery or in one of the city's many other distilleries and old pubs.
Once an Irish Inn, the property has been transformed into a charming retreat center, surrounded by lush gardens and nearby rolling green hills dotted with small farms, sheep and cattle.
The center features two inviting lounges with cozy sofas and chairs to curl up in, read a book, watch a movie, have a chat, or simply enjoy the warmth of the fireplace.
The center also has a library, tea room, arts and crafts studio, gift shop and restaurant.
Outside there are beautiful grounds and gardens to explore, including picnic tables for the afternoons and a fire pit and blankets for the evenings.
