This is my second trip with Yure and his team. They are absolutely fantastic! Yure is hands on, ensuring every part of your trip is on schedule and as promised. The options are numerous and I’m sure we will return to see even more of Peru and Bolivia. Some overnight options are still limited so just be sure to read through all of the details so you are prepared and can enjoy your surroundings. Thank you for an amazing vacation!!

Overall good trip however I would recommend doing a one night stay. I stayed at Sandoval Lake Lodge for two nights and for the amount of time we spent on excursions it could have been done with only one night. The guide was very knowledgeable with flora and fauna facts but spent time sharing personal information that I would have preferred not to hear; he was also late to meet me at the airport and late for every excursion we planned. On my departure, we left the lodge 20 minutes later than planned due to his lateness and the assistance I was told I would get carrying one of my backpacks never materialized. I arrived at the airport 20 minutes before my flight boarded - I didn't appreciate the stress of a later than planned airport arrival. The food at the lodge was excellent and the manager Nuri was extremely cordial and helpful.

"We were a group of 6 people from Bulgaria. We chose the agency based on online reviews and opinions. I want to say that we are extremely satisfied. The communication was excellent; we arranged the entire trip via email. We wanted to see specific sights on certain days, and the agency offered us an optimal route and organization. The local transportation was exceptionally punctual and comfortable, and the guides were well-prepared and friendly. Overall, we highly recommend them! :)"

This private trip was well planned and the 5 star properties we stayed at were top notch. Unfortunately the guide with whom we spent 2 1/2 out of the five days was mediocre at best; his command of the English language was not good so many of the questions we asked were either not understood or he could not answer them. He performed well as a transport person (always early to pick us up and was a good driver - except for the evening where he did not know the directions to the hotel and he had to ask several people walking nearby) but as an actual guide he did not meet expectations. Twice he told us incorrect hours of operation of Sacred Valley sites and one place we would have missed (Saqsaywamam) if I had not looked up the hours myself as it was open later than he told us. My experience with private guides is that they typically have in-depth knowledge of the locations being visited -- this was definitely not the case with the guide we were provided. The Machu Pichu itineraries were coordinated perfectly; an afternoon visit after reaching Aguas Calientes in the afternoon and then early the next morning a hike to the Sun Gate. The Hiram Bingham train experience was luxurious and we appreciated the comfort of the Vistadome train on the return trip to Ollantaytambo. The Cusco city tour was half-hearted and we spent most of the time with the guide in the San Pedro market; fortunately we had the afternoon on our own to see the aqueduct and other sites of note in Cusco.

The trip should have been organized in reverse order; bus from Lima to Ica at a reasonable hour (not 4 am), activities in Ica and Huacachina, then transport to Paracas in the late afternoon. The next morning the boat and reserve tours and an afternoon bus departure from Paracas (not Ica which is an hour further from Lima). The 4 am Lima departure and 10 pm Lima arrival were unnecessary resulting in a super early departure and late arrival in Lima. In addition when I pushed back on the 3 am pickup from the hotel to take the 4 am bus (it was a 15 minute drive) I was harshly told via email "it will not be our fault if you miss the bus" (I opted for a 3:15 am pickup and spent 30 minutes waiting to board the bus at the station). When I arrived by bus in Lima at 10 pm the scheduled transport was not there to meet me; and had to call both travel agency contact phone numbers before a driver arrived 20 minutes after my bus arrived - he was wearing sweatpants and there were no seat belts in the back seat of the car.
